Video: How adorable does SRK look while romancing Kriti Sanon at Gerua’s launch event

Dilwale recently released its first song ‘Gerua’ in Mumbai and the launch was nothing short of a movie premiere. And we didn’t even expect it to be any less; King Khan and Kajol coming together to Maratha Mandir is big enough isn’t it? DDLJ is Maratha Mandir’s only religion and there would’ve been no better location to launch Dilwale’s first video. Also spotted at the event were Varun Dhawan, the new beauty on the block Kriti Sanon, Rohit Shetty and Pritam.

These 90s shows and movies are set to bounce back and you can do nothing but wait!

Let’s get real here, 90s was the era of cool. The best the world ever saw, the best the world ever had. Everything from the generation to the life in the 90s, from the music to the TV series that everyone followed in fixed time slots (without any reruns)on those big boxy television sets. Kolkata is taking a step ahead with the first ever Transgender Durga Puja

A small neighbourhood in Kolkata is all set to celebrate the first ever Transgender Durga Puja that India will witness. The 27 year old, Udyami Yubak Brinda Puja, is one of the small-budget puja communities from West Bengal that rely on local household donations. Back in 2007, the donations turned out to be so low that they had to put in money from their own pockets to celebrate the festival.

In partnership with Pratyay Gender Trust, which is a local transgender persons’ collective, the puja community is going to be the first one ever to idolize the ‘transgender’ Durga deity. This Sunday, history will be made as the puja commences. The puja idol’s inspiration came from one of Shiva and Parvati’s form –‘Ardhanarishvara’. China Pal, who is the creator of the puja idol, is also the only woman potter from Kumortuli; north Kolkata’s traditional potter’s quarters. The sculpture of transgender Durga showcases a man on one half of the idol with a moustache, pectoral instead of a breast, smaller eyelash and a traditional dhoti.The other half is Durga itself.

14 y/o Ahmed Mohamed builds a clock, gets arrested and finally gets a scholarship at Space Camp!

Ahmed Mohamed is a 14-year-old kid from Texas who built a clock from a pencil case so he could impress his teachers. Little did he know that there was massive trouble coming his way when the teachers called the cops on him. The authorities at the Irving High School thought that the 14 year-old made a ‘hoax bomb’ and got it to school. Ahmed was handcuffed and taken to the police station where he was denied the right to make a call to his parents and was questioned without his attorney present.

The issue got so big that some big, we mean, BIG names came to Ahmed’s rescue. President Obama, Hillary Clinton, Mark Zuckerberg amongst others made a genuine effort for his case! President Obama even invited Ahmed to the White House with his clock and what followed was a post by Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook in which he invited him to the Facebook headquarters! The newest addition to the list is by Space Camp who gave Ahmed a scholarship!

All in all, things have started looking up for Ahmed and we hope they stay that way. The Jungle Book is back and the kid in you has another chance to come out!

It all started in 1984 with a comic book about a boy who was raised by wolves and lived among the wild animals in an Indian Jungle. This tale about the relationship he shared with the animals has been a part of our lives for really long now. And to revive the feeling that the younger you would go through whenever you saw Mowgli and his squad taking on new adventures, Jon Favreu, who you might know as Happy from Iron Man, oh, who ALSO directed it, is bringing to you The Jungle Book.

After you watch the trailer, you will owe him one for what he’s bringing you next year. The trailer looks so fantastic we nearly jumped from our seats. In spite of being one of the fairly cleaner cities in the world, London has to deal with a wee bit of littering on the road. Yep, and you thought it only happens in India. This litter mostly consists of chewing gums or cigarette butts and the amount of this litter has reached an alarming number. To keep a check on this hazard, Hubbub, an environmental charity, came up with a very innovative idea to help ensure Central London’s cleanliness. The best part, it involves the people of the city itself and they participated happily. Here’s how.

The question is what did Hubbub do?

This. Let us make it simple for you. Hubbub came up with this brilliant idea of bringing the special kind of bins for smokers with a poll. Yeah, so the question was, “Who is the best player in the world?”

Messi and Ronaldo, being the obvious options, got all the football lovers on the street to take the poll and why not? There’s always been competition between both of them and their fans. And if it gets the streets cleaned, might as well!
