It’s here! The much-awaited sneak peek of one of our favourite TV shows (EVER) is finally out and we’re just biting our lips with all the anticipation! With the new Game of Thrones season 6 trailer (the red band one) we have a mesh of confusing thoughts in our heads and we need an explanation!
Most of us have, obviously, already formed an opinion about the trailer, but just hear us out! So here are a few questions (thoughts rather) that went through our heads while watching the trailer repeatedly (like 4 times) and we bet all you GOT fanatics out there can somewhere relate to them. Here goes.
1. ‘He’s gone’! – Is Jon Snow REALLY DEAD?!?!? That can’t be. And why is he laying there dead all by himself? And what’s Davos Seaworth about to do with Ghost and Snow’s dead body? (Getting goose bumps here)
2. Are they seriously playing a very nice and melodious version of Wicked Gamesin the background? Like it’s a Katherine Heigl movie and she just got dumped, brutally! BTW, if you’re looking for this cover, it’s by James Vincent McMorrow.
3. Where did Lady Melisandre’s voodoo disappear suddenly? Okay, we get it; she didn’t get her great victory (the one she saw in the flames) but is that it? Did all those sacrifices and magical drama through the seasons go down the pothole?
4. Has Daenerys Targaryen lost everything? We mean, just look at her! Poor girl, quite literally. We need some hardcore dragon action NOW! And and and, Will Jorah Mormont ever realise that he has been friend-zoned for life? CTFO, bro!
5. Three cheers for Cersei Lannister! She finally grew some b*lls (it seems). After all those years of suffering and demise, the incestual damsel seems pretty ‘high’ on confidence and well, Jaime being he, again this season.
6. Woah woah woah, who are those two making out at 1:15 in the video? Are those new additions to the Game of Thrones family? It’s kinda hard to make out (for us, not them). LOL.
7. Bran Stark being up, close and personal with a white-walker? What’s that all about? How did they end up in the same battleground! I mean he’s just a kid.
April 24th seems really far ahead and it’s just depressing to think about the long wait. Do let us know if you too got baffled with this trailer in the comments section below!
Alright! The list for the Hollywood movies releasing in March is out and we couldn’t be happier to inform that you might just cry out because of two things: first, thank the lord because March is here. Second, Superman v Batman: Dawn of Justice comes out this month! (Priorities, guys). But that isn’t the only great movie coming out! A sequel or two, couple of animated movies that the kid in you will really love! No the latter wasn’t especially for the pregnant women. Anyway, one thing is for sure, the list for Hollywood movies releasing in March is big and you better plan a calendar if you don’t want to miss out on these! Take a look and try to stay put (though it’s going to be hard to do so as you scroll down!)
#1 13 hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi – 4th March
13 hours shows you a true story about how six men from the Annex Security Team take charge to save the remaining American lives after the U.S. Consulate was attacked by Islamic militants in Benghazi, Lybia in which the Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and Sean Smith, an officer for the Foreign Service died. The movie is directed by the same director who got you the Tranformers series, Michael Bay.

#2 Zootopia – 4th March
Zootopia is a city where all the animals live together and try to thrive. When Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) becomes the first rabbit cop of the city, she learns that it takes a lot to enforce law and begins with her journey to prove herself. Judy comes across a very mysterious case in which she needs help of a fox, Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) who actually makes it difficult for Judy to get her job done. The movie has got three directors: Byron Howard, Rich Moore, and Jared Bush.

#3 45 Years – 4th March
The movie portrays a story of a couple, who are looking forward to their 45th wedding anniversary but as the day approaches, the couple receives an unexpected letter that brings their life to a very different turn. The movie stars Charlotte Rampling and Tom Courtenay. Director: Andrew Haigh.

#4 London Has Fallen – 4th March
The sequel to Olympus Has Fallen (2013), after 3 years, London Has Fallen is hitting the screen this March. And this time, the risks and problems have gone up by a notch. After the mysterious death of the Prime Minister of Britain, a funeral is held that becomes an international event when several world leaders gather together to pay their respects and homage. Little did they know that it was all a well-planned set up for the assassination? Everything comes down to U.S. Secret Service agent, Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) and U.S. Vice President V.P. Trumbull (Morgan Freeman) to save the President of the United States, Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart). Director: Babak Nafaji.

#5 The Program – 11th March
The Program is about one of the best athletes to walk or we should say, cycle on the face of the Earth, until it was discovered that his performances were enhanced by a banned drug. The athlete here is Lance Armstrong and the movie follows his rise during Tour de France and the fall that came with it; when an Irish sports journalist suspected that Armstrong wasn’t clean throughout the race and begins to look for evidence to expose him. Director: Stephen Frears.

#6 Race – 11th March
A true story straight from the time of the Nazis when Jesse Owens (Stephen James), a young man makes his name on the track and field while attending Ohio State University in the early 1930s. Guided by Coach Larry Snyder (Jason Sudeikis), Jesse breaks numerous records and gets national recognition. When the United States finally decides to go ahead with the Olympics in Nazi Germany, Jesse ceases the chance to show Berlin and the rest of the world that he’s the fastest man alive while he’s overcoming racism at home and abroad. Director: Stephen Hopkins.

#7 Free State of Jones – 11th March
Matthew McConaughey stars as Newton Knight who brings together his fellow farmer friends and a group of slaves just to lead a rebellion against the Confederacy in Jones County, Mississippi during the American Civil War. Director: Gary Ross.

#8 Triple 9 – 11th March
After robbing a bank in broad daylight, the thieves somehow get themselves out of the situation. Irina Vlaslov, a very dangerous gangster asks the robbers to go for another job because she wasn’t satisfied with the first one. Marcus Belmont (Anthony Mackie), one of the crew members and also a corrupt cop meets his new partner Chis Allen (Casey Affleck) who is incorruptible. While working on the groundwork for their heist, Belmont and his team come up with a brilliant plan to use Allen as their pawn. Director: John Hillcoat.

#9 Eye in the Sky – 11th March
The movie follows a top secret drone mission to catch a group of terrorists from their safe-house in Nairobi, Kenya. Complications arise when all of sudden the priority of the mission changes from catching the terrorists alive to killing them. Soon, it is realized the terrorists are on to a suicide mission. The movie stars, Alan Rickman, Helen Mirren, Aaron Paul and more. Director: Gavin Hood.

#10 The Brothers Grimsby – 18th March
Nobby (Sasha Baron Cohen) resides in an English fishing town with his family that consists of his girlfriend (Rebel Wilson) and their nine kids. Nobby has been searching for his long lost brother, Sebastian (Mark Strong) for more than 28 years. Only after reuniting with his brother, Nobby gets to know that his brother is an MI6 agent who unmasked a very dangerous secret. Accused for something that he didn’t do and on the run, Sebastian understands that he needs Nobby’s assistance to save the world and prove his innocence. Director: Louis Leterrier.

#11 Sleeping with Other People – 24th March
Two strangers who had a one night stand 12 years back run into each other at therapy session and decide to be friends and nothing more. They try to hold back on their feelings and not engage in anything that may lead to tension between them. The movie stars, Jason Sudeikis and Alison Brie. Director: Lesley Headland.

#12 Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice – 25th March
The most awaited superhero movie of the year, as we’d like to call it, is finally coming out this month. The storyline of the movie has been picked up from the comics. Everybody knows that The Dark Knight will go against The Man of Steel, reason being revenge. Yep. With both the heroes we will also get to see Wonder Woman and cameos of The Flash and Aquaman. We can hardly wait for this one. Director: Zack Snyder.

#13 Whiskey Tango Foxtrot – TBA
The movie is based on the book “The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan” by Kim Barker. The movie tells Kim’s (Tina Fey) story from the days back in 2002 when she decided to take dangerous but daring assignments in Kabul, Afghanistan. Soon she finds herself in the middle of an uncontrollable war zone. Kim meets another journalist, Tanya Vanderpoel (Margot Robbie), who takes the all shook up journalist under her wing. Living amongst militants, warlords and partying at night, Kim figures out the key to be a successful journalist. Director: Glenn Ficarra and John Requa.
Yes, it has happened, history has been made! Leonardo DiCaprio has finally won his first Oscar for Best Actor in a leading role for The Revenant. If you watched the Oscars you must have seen the look on his face while he held the award and started with his beautiful speech. Even the other contenders for the Best Actor nominee were seen happy that it was Leo (not that they didn’t want to win but they were happy that he finally made it after so much hard work). But now it’s done, he won the Oscar and everybody went home after a great award ceremony. And to think of it, what’s Leo up to now? Well, here’s what we think!

Now that Leonardo DiCaprio has finally won his first Oscar, he did make history and with that the new era where memes of Leo winning an Oscar are hitting the internet like tsunami hit India. Excuse the bad joke. But just think, your Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feed is filled with posts about Leo winning the Oscar. This is a big deal, people!

If this happens, which probably will? And if by any chance Leo plays himself and wins an Oscar for that, how crazy would that be? Would you call it ‘Oscarception’, ‘Leoception’ or just a ‘Misconception’?
Again, not going to be a big surprise, but in the future Leo might announce that he’s going to make his debut as a director. As he said in his speech, he learned a lot while working with Martin Scorsese. Maybe, just maybe, he was giving us a message. But we’re just saying!
People make mistakes and not everyone gets a second chance to correct them. It’s just like a prank backfiring on you and there’s no escaping the embarrassment after that. Until you’ve got another shot at it. Then, you make it count and you take the shot. Similarly, a few of these actors made some mistakes (and a few didn’t) and a few years down the line they got their second chance. And did they make it count? If you ask me, they aced it. #1 Ben Affleck’s Batman – Daredevil
If you are a fan of Ben Affleck and a superhero junkie, you probably know that his first superhero movie was Daredevil back in 2003, which had to go through a lot of criticism. You ask why? Well, because it sucked. It’s not just me but theDaredevilfans, the superhero and thecomic book junkies who thought the movie could’ve done so much better but even Affleck couldn’t really pull it off. In short, Daredevil was termed as Marvel’s worst adaptation ever. And after 13 long years it was announced that Affleck would be playing Batman. The world went batshit crazy saying Affleck wouldn’t be able to pull it off using his ‘Daredevil’ history against him. But Affleck shut everybody up after the Batman v Superman trailers came out!
Before he was found frozen in ice, Capt. America was actually The Human Torch from Fantastic 4 which came out first in 2005 and then a sequel in 2007. The series over all did fine and Chris Evans was believable as The Human Torch. But, he hit jackpot when he was cast as Steve Rogers/Captain America in Captain America: The First Avenger. No doubt that he was the correct choice for the role and he fulfilled the expectations of every Marvel fan. Now that the two instalments of Captain America movies are here and the third, Captain America: Civil War is not that far, we can hardly wait to see who will have the last stand, Cap or Iron Man!
Hal Jordon (Ryan Reynolds), the chosen one by the ring couldn’t really save everyone, especially whoever watched his movie. Green Lantern had almost everything you need for a superhero movie. But the makers probably forgot that a storyline matters too. To put it simply, Green Lantern is to DC what Daredevil is to Marvel. Green Lantern came out in 2011 and Ryan got his second chance, which was also his dream, to make a Deadpool. And now that Deadpool is out, the movie has broken all the X-men movies’ records in just 10 days. That’s something, if you ask me. Also, the sequel is already in the works!
Everybody remembers Storm from X-Men, she can change theweather and that is one hell of a power for a mutant. She can drown you; smoke you up by bringing down the lightning right on you and what not. Storm has always been a bad ass and a very strong mutant that you better not take lightly. On the other hand, Halle played Catwoman in 2004 and man, that movie has done no justice to its name. But sure, if you want to watch Halle Berry purr, be my guest and watch the movie.
Aaron made his debut as a superhero in Kick-Ass (2010) in which he is inclined towards the idea of being a superhero and saving the people around him. Along with Aaron’s work the movie was great too, which led the makers to bring up a sequel in 2013. The next time everybody saw Aaron as a more powerful superhero, when he showed up in The Avengers: Age of Ultron as Quicksilver. Sadly, Quicksilver dies by the end of the movie but he was a really cool hero to be seen on the big screen!
There have been a few actors who have played Superman but there’s been only one actor who played Superman AND then another superhero. Brandon Routh played Superman in Superman Returns in 2006 and now, he plays Atom in the TV show Legends of Tomorrow and has also featured in The Flashand The Arrow as the same. And from what I know, he was appreciated for both the roles.
Now that we know that these actors played multiple superheroes in movies, we can’t wait for more! We hope the list grows longer with new superheroes and insane movies in the coming future! *fingers crossed*

Then she was asked to present an award at the upcoming Oscars and now it’s official that Priyanka Chopra is hitting the big screens in Hollywood. Yep, the news was confirmed when she tweeted about it yesterday. But that’s not all; guess the actor she’s going to share the screen with? Based in the 1823, legendary frontiersman, this movie revolves around Hugh Glass (Leonardo DeCaprio), who is left behind by his hunting team after he is attacked by a bear and receives injuries. He utilises his survival skills and figures a way out to get to his family. Glass makes way and goes looking for John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy), a former confidant who betrayed him and left him to die. Director: Alejandro González Iñárritu
#2 Spotlight
Spotlight is based on the true story of a team of journalists who were put together by the editor Marty Baron of The Boston Globe, to investigate allegations against an unfrocked priest, John Geoghan. Geoghan had been accused of molesting more than 80 boys and the reporters make it their mission to find the evidence against the Roman Catholic Church posing as a cover up for sexual abuse. It stars, Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, Micheal Keaton, Live Schrieber and more. Director: Tom McCarthy.
#3 Bridge of Spies
New York-based lawyer James Donovan (Tom Hanks) is recruited by a CIA operative to negotiate the release of U.S. pilot Francis Gary Powers who was captured by the Soviet Union after his spy plane was shot down. Gary is sentenced for 10 years in jail and his only hope his James who boards the plane to Berlin, hoping to win the case by a prisoner exchange. If everything goes as planned, the Russian’s would get Rudolph Abel (Mark Rylance) the convicted spy who was defended by James in court. Director: Steven Spielberg.
#4 The Danish Girl
Einar Wegener (Eddie Redmayne), an artist prepares himself to undergo a sex change operation while his wife, Gerda (Alicia Vikander), stands with him in complete support. Director: Tom Hooper.
#5 The Big Short
Four outsiders foresee the crash of a global economy and come up with the idea, The Big Short. Making bold investments shows a new side of modern banking where they should question everything and everyone. Christian Bale, Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling and Steve Carrel play the leads in the movie. Director: Adam McCay.
#6 The Martian
Astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is sent to Mars with his team for a mission. Things go bad when the weather changes for the worse and Mark gets caught up in a storm and is left behind by his crew presuming he’s dead. After gaining senses, Mark realizes that he’s left with limited supplies and needs to find a way to contact Earth to let them know about his situation. The moment Mark’s crew get this information they plan a very challenging rescue mission. The story follows the measures taken to bring back Mark Wattney. Director: Ridley Scott
#7 Trumbo
In 1940s Hollywood, Dalton Trumbo (Bryan Cranston), a screenwriter is ordered to show up by the House of Un-American Activities Committee for bringing his Communist sympathies and cronies to light. Trumbo chooses to keep shut and asks his friends to do the same, just to protect their American rights. Being held in contempt of Congress, he’s sent to prison. After his release, Trumbo is told that he and his friends have been blacklisted and studios have been asked the by the government not to hire them. Trumbo then takes work with just a little money and no credit. After using a pen-name, Trumbo finally comes out with major works that he wrote and hopes it will bring an end to the suffering that victims of the Hollywood blacklist have been through. Director: Jay Roach.
#8 Creed
The seventh installation of the Rocky series is no less from the previous ones. Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), the retired champ is found by Adonis Johnson, son of Apollo Creed who died before Adonis was born. Adonis gets a hold of Rocky and asks him to train him, seeing much of Creed in Adonis, Rocky agrees to coach him. Adonis, having boxing in his blood still has to face an opponent deadlier than him and soon gets a shot at the title, with Rocky’s help. Director: Ryan Coogler.
#9 Steve Jobs
Co-founder of Apple Inc. Steve Jobs’ (Michael Fassbender) story about how he developed computers that changes the way to look at them and technology. The movie also stars: Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen and Jeff Daniels. Director: Danny Boyle.

Be it the same track playing repetitively on every other radio station or the media updating you about the same old celebrity couples leaving you queasy and absolutely annoyed. Ranveer Singh goes on a shopping trip with Deepika’s family, flies down to Bengaluru from Malaysia just to get a glimpse of Deepika and the two still call themselves single. Taylor swift has had a long list of ex-lovers and to our surprise all her relationships start with a bang and end with a whimper. However, we can only hope for her to find her soul mate so the social media posts STOP for good.
Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor’s relationship got annoying just as they started seeing each other as the two were spotted more on the media for their romance and less on the screens. Now denying a Bollywood relationship is very obvious but kissing on the balcony and then acting coy. NOT DONE!
The Oscar fever has finally arrived in India. January has always been an interesting month for movie-goers in India, since all the December releases (read Oscar baits), are released. This time around we have some good movies coming our way. So brace yourselves for some of the upcoming Hollywood movies releasing in the month of January 2016.
1) Daddy’s Home – 1st January
Daddy’s Home as the name suggests is a comedy drama that portrays the efforts put in by the stepfather Brad Whitaker to develop a soft corner in his stepchildren’s hearts but his efforts go in vain when the biological father, Dusty Mayron returns. Starring Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg and Linda Cardellini. the movie hit the screens on 1st January 2016.

2) Our Brand Is Crisis – 8th January
Directed by David Gordon Green and written by Peter Straughan Our Brand Is Crisis is inspired by Rachel Boynton’s documentary (Our Brand Is Crisis) that was out in 2005. Starring Sandra Bullock as the lead along with Billy Bob Thornton the movie revolves around a rather experienced American political consultant, Calamity who is hired by a Bolivian politician to help re-elect a debatable president in Bolivia. This satirical comedy drama looks promising and is set release on 8th January in India.

3) The Hateful Eight – 15th January
Directed by Quentin Tarantino, The Hateful Eight is a perfect accord of action, humour and exaggerated violence taking us back to the time of the American Civil War. It takes us through the journey of eight strangers moving around in a stagecoach during bitter winter seeking refuge from snowstorms and sojourn for a while after the Civil War. Starring Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Demián Bichir, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen and Bruce Dern the movie is set to hit the screens on 15th January 2016.

4) The 33 – 15th January
The 33 is a survival drama based on true events of 2010’s mining disaster that depicts the struggle of 33 men that were left stranded inside the San José Mine in Chile for over two months. It stars Antonio Banderas as Mario Sepúlveda, who sends videos to the rescuers making them aware about the miners’ condition.

5) The Boy – 29th January
The Boy is a horror film directed by William Brent Bell starring Lauren Cohan as the lead. The movie revolves around a nanny Greta (Lauren Cohan), who takes up a job in an isolated English village. Upon her arrival, she realises that she was actually hired to look after a life-size doll that the parents treated as their 8 year old son who had kicked the bucket 20 years back.

6) The 5th Wave – 22nd January
The 5th Wave is a sci-fi thriller inspired by Rick Yancey’s novel starring Chloë Grace Moretz as the lead in the movie. The movie is about Aliens that invade the Earth and are called The Others. Others look just like humans and strategically destroy the Earth in five waves (stages) causing utter chaos and devastation. The first wave brings the humans at close quarters to darkness, the second wave witnesses infinite number of deaths, the third wave comes as curse to the ones that are alive. By the time the fourth wave hits the planet only one thumb rule applies: trust no one as the occurrence of waves are inevitable. Chloë Grace Moretz is playing the role of a teenager who goes through leaps and bounds in an attempt to save her younger brother from the fifth wave.

7) Joy – 22nd January
Joy is inspired by the story of Joy Mangano and is a semi-biographical comedy drama depicting Joy Mangano’s Italian-American family across four generations. David O Russell teams up with Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, and Robert De Niro once again to give us a beautiful insight into the life of Joy Mangano and her business dynasty that she created by devising the self-wringing Miracle Mop that in turn came as an impetus to her becoming the president of Ingenious Designs.
The US-based video streaming company Netflix launched its operations recently in India and we couldn’t be more excited!
Starting at Rs. 500 per month, Netflix India has framed its packages very similar to their American plans. Reportedly, Netflix India is also looking forward to getting on board with more Indian partners to diversify their collection for the Indian market; adding more Bollywood movies in their database.
But, what caught our attention in this whole Netflix India outburst were a few points that were directed to only one question: Is India really ready for Netflix?
Here’s why.
#1. Minus the metro cities in India, do tier II & tier III cites have enough bandwidth to stream HD TV shows and movies in their homes?
#2. Will the online piracy affect Netflix India’s operations? There are several websites that are already offering free online streaming of shows/movies (so we’ve heard).
#3. The fact that Netflix India is still in the process of tying up with its Indian partners, do we really have a large target audience that follows American TV series/movies?
Though, everything aside, we’re going to sign up with Netflix India right about now. We think it’s one of the coolest New Year presents we’ve received in 2016 so far! Thank you, Netflix.
The gorgeous Brit singer, Adele, never fails to make us fall in love with her voice and her music. And this time she took things to a whole new level. Yes, our very favourite Adele teamed up with the American television host Jimmy Fallon to perform or rather re-create a new version of her recent track ‘Hello’.
Also, collaborating with ‘The Roots’, the English singer used children’s classroom instruments ONLY to give a background score for the track and let’s just say, it’s as good as the original one.
The thing that makes this video hilarious is when Adele pulls out a plastic flip phone (just like the one she used in her original video) in the middle of her performance and starts singing on it. LOL!

Since the last scene of Game of Thrones’ fifth season, fans have been looking for Kit Harrington more than rats look for cheese. There were multiple speculations of his return to the show and fans were out to look for evidence.
He was spotted with his Jon Snow look in many locations giving a big clue to everyone as HBO tried to make people believe otherwise.
At an interview in September, Kit Harrington stated “Let’s just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I’ll probably be in my thirties when it’s over”.
And GOT book lovers came up with their own theories mostly circling around Lady Melisandre and her magic powers who is expected to resurrect him.
While fans looked for more such cues, HBO revealed a small teaser poster to finally put rumours to rest.
But the poster could just mean that the show will pick up from Jon Snow’s end.While we can’t do anything but wait till April 2016 to find out Jon Snow’s fate, here’s something that might keep you going.

The upcoming James Bond film ‘Spectre’ is scheduled to hit the Indian cinemas on the 20th November with Daniel Craig playing the role of Bond and former WWE star Dave Bautista as the villain.
