Scandal – 24^th September

Season four of Scandal wasn’t the best one we’ve seen so far mostly because it didn’t match up to the style of gladiating we’d previously fallen in love with. This season promises to make a comeback for the series. Rumour has it that this season will showcase a “reconstitution” of Olivia Pope & Associates, the reason for which isn’t known for now. We won’t be surprised if Abby came back into the fold or Olivia hired a couple of new Gladiators.

Once Upon A Time – 27^th September

The fairytale characters are back in the fifth season of Once Upon A Time and we’d suggest the viewers to prepare themselves to welcome the new Dark One in the series. Premiering on 27^th September, let’s just hope that, in this season, all the previous evil characters team up to find the goodness in Emma Swan.

Homeland is returning with its fifth season this fall and reportedly is all set to deal with real world issues including the ISIS, the attack on Charlie Hebdo, Russia’s Vladimir Putin, Edward Snowden and other activities and personalities labelled as terrorists and extremists. The other interesting element in the new season is the fact that Carrie Mathison is no longer with the CIA and is based out of Germany.

The Affair – 4^th October

Another one of the most awaited TV shows returning this fall, The Affair will be back with its second season on 4^th October picking up from the point where Allison and Noah are trying to piece their lives together. The last season ended with Noah getting arrested for the crime that destroyed the lives of four people. In this season, however, the drama will be narrated by four people in place of two including Noah’s ex-wife Helen and Alison’s former husband Cole.

The Flash – 6^th October

Action and fantasy series The Flash is returning with its second season which will reportedly explore multiple universes. Arrow – 7^th October

Third season of Arrow ended with Oliver Queen and Felicity riding off into the sunset while the rest of his friends and family stayed behind to protect Starling City. The fourth season will witness a drastic change in team dynamics and Thea Queen will rise to prominence as the masked hero.

Don’t like to blow-dry your hair in this heat? Here’s an air-drying technique that’ll help!

We all know it’s difficult to keep your head under the hair-dryer for minutes together when the mercury is hitting forty degrees. But we can’t just leave the hair be! Unruly looking hair can ruin your entire look. Here’s a solution, try air-drying!

With the help of a few products, depending on your hair type, air-drying can provide those natural looking waves we see on celebs. Here’s how.

Once you’ve washed your hair, use an old cotton shirt instead of a towel to dry the excess water and keep the hair from getting frizzy. The cotton shirt is soft on your hair and also keeps the natural waves intact. Detangle the hair using a wide-tooth comb immediately after you’ve shirt-dried it.

For women with curls or waves, that tend to get frizzy if not blow-dried, we suggest using leave-in anti-frizz products like BBLUNT Climate Control Anti Frizz Leave-in Cream or Tresemme Smooth Anti-Frizz Secret Smoothing Creme.

There have been many zombie movies but we haven’t seen one that shows the evolution of these creatures. The images are finally in and they have landed pretty well as per our expectations. The all new Oneplus Two smartphone which is to be launched around next week in India has reportedly started making headlines with its leaked images on the internet!

The upcoming smartphone will be faster than iPhone, claimed Oneplus. It’s not going to cost more than 450$ (Rs. 28,500 approx), confirmed CEO Pete Lau on Twitter.

Skin care myths that you need to know now!

There are a whole lot of myths and misconceptions out there in the falsehood when it comes to skincare, and sometimes it’s difficult to tell fact from fiction. Skin care myths have been around since centuries and everyone has their own set of beliefs. The only way to get good skin is to take good care of it on a daily basis by keeping your skin clean and moisturised all the time. Here are a few common skin care myths debunked.

Myth #1 If you have oily skin you should not moisturise

Skin produces excess oil as a defence mechanism for keeping it clean. Lightly moisturising the skin keeps the skin soft & supple but also helps in regulating the excess oil.

Myth #2 One should exfoliate only once in two weeks

The number of times one should scrub is completely up to you. Scrubbing removes dead skin and makes it look bright and soft.

Myth #3 You don’t need sunscreen on cloudy days

Sunscreen is a must as it also provides protection from ultraviolet rays and should be applied on any given day.

Myth #4 Botox can prevent wrinkles

Theoretically yes, but no long-term studies support this myth. Using sunscreens and keeping up proper skin care are still the most reliable and certainly less expensive methods to fight wrinkles.

Myth #5 Skin should feel tight after washing your face

Skin should feel fresh, soft and supple and at ease, if it feels tight after washing, you are probably using a hard cleanser that might be drying out your skin more.

This movie is a prequel to the famous movie The Hustler and revolves around the events that unfold as both Felson and Lauria enter into a partnership scamming away various pool clubs. 4 . Schindler’s List (1993)

This Steven Spielberg’s masterpiece, tells you a heart wrenching tale of Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson), a German businessman and the Jews he saved during the Holocaust. The story shows how Oskar grows affection for his Jew workers and goes out of his way to protect them. He is helped by his accountant Izthak Stern (Ben Kingsley) who was one of the workers he saved. The movie won seven Oscars and had five other nominations.

Another one from Scorsese’s vault, this psychological thriller has got Robert De Niro playing the role of Travis Bickle along with Jodie Foster and Cybill Shepherd. Travis is an unstable Vietnam war veteran who becomes a taxi driver in New York to avoid insomnia and develops the need to save the world using violence.

6. Déjà Vu.(2006)

An ATF agent, Doug Carlin (Denzel Washington) is called in by a team of top-secret program to help them catch a terrorist (Jim Caviezel) who blew up a ferry leaving hundreds of people dead. The movie takes a tricky turn when Doug tries to save the only woman, Claire (Paula Putton) who can identify the terrorist. It also stars Val Kilmer and is directed by Tony Scott.

7. The Departed. (2006)

One can never get enough of Martin Scorsese movies and The Departed is next. This crime-drama stars many Hollywood biggies including Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, and Mark Wahlberg. The story revolves around an undercover cop, Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio) who tries to bring down a big time gangster, Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson). Everything goes haywire when Billy discovers that there’s a mole (Matt Damon) in the police department. They are both on a quest to catch each other, without knowing their true identities. And Mark Wahlberg, well he’s always a delight to watch.

This one is straight from the French cinema. It talks about the bonding between a wealthy quadriplegic, Phillipe (François Cluzet) and his caretaker, Driss (Omar Sy). Their friendship strengthens as the days pass by. What makes it even more amazing is that, it’s based on a true story. Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano are the directors of this great piece of cinema.

In this epic war movie you will find King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) leading his three hundred Spartans straight into the jaws of death as they march to fight against King Xerxes’(Rodrigo Santoro) army. Knowing they’re heavily outnumbered they fight against the Persian army to unite Greece against the common enemy. It has got maddening action and if you haven’t watched it, you don’t know what Zack Snyder’s vision is capable of.

John McClane (Bruce Willis) is an officer at NYPD. On Christmas Eve, John decides to visit his wife and daughters at her work place, but things turn ugly when the building is attacked by a group of terrorists. Now that everyone is trapped in the building, John must figure out a way to save the hostages which includes his family. With every sequel, John encounters new problems and enemies. Die Hardest, the sixth part is on its way, watch the series of you still haven’t to catch up before it’s out.

Quentin Tarantino movies are almost synonymous with bloodshed and intense drama. This one shows the story of two hit men, Vincent Vega (John Travolta) and Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson), a gangster Marsellus (Ving Rhames) and his wife (Uma Thurman) along with a boxer Butch Coolridge. It has got bad blood and action sequences that will make you go what the heck (that’s not the word in my head). It’s a Quentin Tarantino movie. It had to be on the list of movies every guy must watch.

After Commodus (Joaquin Pheonix) kill his father, Emperor Marcus Aurelius for the throne, the first thing on his mind is to take down Maximus (Russell Crowe) because the Emperor favoured him more than his own son. Commodus uses his power, being the new emperor and takes away Maximus’ position as a general and sends him to the gladiator arenas. This Ridely Scott’s directorial speaks of revenge and betrayal.

Fuel your fitness regime with these power foods
