Stardust Awards: all about red carpet and the winners

One of the most-awaited award ceremonies, the Sansui COLORS Stardust Awards was held in Mumbai recently and, needless to say, was attended by many members of the Indian Film Industry. The Red Carpet witnessed the presence of many celebs from all walks of life including actors Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shahid Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Nimrat Kaur, the power couple Nita and Mukesh Ambani and many more.

If you have to make someone dance, you play this track. Tried and tested and has worked on everyone so far; we’re saying this becauseLean On is the most streamed song on Spotify in 2015. And possibilities are that you already know this one.

You might’ve heard ‘Feel The Love’ or ‘Waiting All Night’ by them and if you haven’t, you better look them up and while you’re at it give this one a shot too! It features Ed Sheeran and that’s a good enough reason for you to give it a listen!

We all have cried to this one, yes, and this time, men beat women to it. We don’t need to explain why. Talking about the track, it was as heart breaking as the news of Paul Walker passing away. Wiz & Charlie came together for this beautiful track and left the world sobbing. Thanks for that!

How can the list of top ten tracks of 2015 be complete without this song? It was on everyone’s tongue, playlists and screens. Only people who tried avoiding the song were Bieber haters but the music got to them. To be honest, JackU & Justin Bieber actually make a good pair!

Top Twitter trends of 2015 and what they were all about!

There’s a lot that happened in 2015 across the globe. Some events were so unfortunate that they ended up harming the lives of many and some made us feel grateful about the fact that the world is just a small community of people who are constantly on a look out for each other.

The common thread between the events is that they brought people together, not just from different cities but from many nations and all we have to thank is the power of social media and hashtags.

7 real wishes Santa must grant this Christmas

‘Ask and thou shall receive’, reads the bible. It’s high time we start being cautious about what we ask for and incline our wishes towards the welfare of the society. Human beings are said to be the only sensible beings and are expected to be empathetic towards one another. But somehow there are various factors that have been responsible in spreading misery around the world, certain factors are man made and the rest are natural calamities. #1 Earthquakes

We witnessed a major natural calamity this year. The devastating earthquake that happened in Nepal, took a toll on many lives, I am sure none of us would want to see a sight like that ever again. Let’s ask Santa to stop earthquakes for good and help those who were affected by it.

‘I accept the decision of the judiciary with humility’ – Salman Khan on the #SalmanVerdict

The news is out! B-town’s favourite Bhaijaan is now a free man (not like he wasn’t really exactly free before). Salman Khan had been convicted of culpable homicide and sentenced to five years in jail for a hit-and-run accident in 2002. And today, on 10th December, 2015 he was acquitted of all charges by a Bombay high court judge.

What followed was a Twitter outrage with the Twitterati expressing how they feel about the final verdict. While some showed support, some pointed out the issues that still remain unresolved. Take a look.

The moment you realise that Shilpa Shetty’s most recent track is a mini advertisement for several brands!

We get to see Shilpa Shetty once in a blue moon on the big screens these days, but each time she comes back her work is commendable. We are not too sure if we can say the same about her most recent track ‘wedding ka season hai’, well it comes across as a mini advertisement for several brands to us.

If u are a good observer, we are sure our thoughts don’t vary much. The song starts with Shilpa holding a wedding card designed by a famous Indian wedding card designer Ravish Kapoor (well that makes it number 1). What follows next is Shilpa wearing Nirav Modi’s ‘Mughal Garden’ necklace teamed with a pair of Mughal ear-clips and embrace bangles (number 2).

She has effortlessly managed to promote Nirav Modi’s jewellery collection throughout the song, and amidst all this you will also spot her giving out Subash Sarees and Beyond’s shopping bag to the bride (ahem, number 3).

Goes without saying, this song is perfect for big fat Indian weddings (as it centers around different communities) and makes us want to dance to its tunes.
