Mussoorie becomes the first hill station with free Wi-Fi access in North India

As a part of the Uttarakhand government’s initiative to convert Mussoorie into a ‘Smart City’, the hill station has now become one of the first locations in North India to be equipped with free Wi-Fi services.

The service under government’s Digital India initiative would cover the area of four kilometers ranging from Mall Road to Jhullaghar. The government of Uttarakhand along with Reliance Jio has started this project that will soon be providing free Wi-Fi access in not just Mussoorie but in Ranikhet, Mallitaal, Tallitaal and Nanital. In the first few months, the services are for free of cost but later users will be charged at nominal rates after free Wi-Fi usage for 15-20 minutes. A speed of 50 Mbps to 100 Mbps is promised to the users at any given point.

5.You should learn how to digest criticism. Listen up, you can’t always be right. When your senior criticises you, appreciate it, take a lesson from it and move on. Holding grudges won’t take you anywhere.

6. Suck up (at times) even if it doesn’t make sense to you. Because there are some things in this world that you don’t understand, just yet.

7. Experiment. Explore. Be open to everything. And volunteer at work wherever you can.

8. Be punctual. Period. No one respects a lazy bum.

9. Keep yourself updated with your what’s happening in the world (even if it doesn’t relate to your work). You never know when and which opportunity might fall in your lap. Be prepare to take it, all guns blazing.

10. Never ever pick sides at work. What doesn’t relate to you, doesn’t relate to you. Great minds talk about ideas, little minds talk about people.

In the end always remember – work to learn, not just to earn.

Try this fabulous colour stain nail art at home using your old nail paints and be ready to flaunt your nails in style. Take a look at this video to find out how.

You will need: Plain white nail paint, two coloured nail paints of your choice & a top coat paint.

Take a look at the steps:

Start off by applying two coats of white nail paint on to your nails.

Let it dry completely.

Now take any coloured paint and before applying it on to your nails, wipe off all the paint from the brush like this.

Gently apply these stain-like strokes to your nails and repeat the step with another colour.

Apply top coat to finish.

The all-new iPhone 6S is here and we couldn’t be happier. And just like every year, with a new iPhone launch comes a new iOS upgrade. Unfortunately, the iOS 9 upgrade didn’t witness much change in terms of aesthetics. However one thing that can’t be missed here is the fact that Siri just got smarter with the upgrade.

14 y/o Ahmed Mohamed builds a clock, gets arrested and finally gets a scholarship at Space Camp!

Ahmed Mohamed is a 14-year-old kid from Texas who built a clock from a pencil case so he could impress his teachers. Little did he know that there was massive trouble coming his way when the teachers called the cops on him. The authorities at the Irving High School thought that the 14 year-old made a ‘hoax bomb’ and got it to school. Ahmed was handcuffed and taken to the police station where he was denied the right to make a call to his parents and was questioned without his attorney present.

The issue got so big that some big, we mean, BIG names came to Ahmed’s rescue. President Obama, Hillary Clinton, Mark Zuckerberg amongst others made a genuine effort for his case! President Obama even invited Ahmed to the White House with his clock and what followed was a post by Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook in which he invited him to the Facebook headquarters! The newest addition to the list is by Space Camp who gave Ahmed a scholarship!

What happened next, was the hashtag #IStandWithAhmed that started trending worldwide and had more than 100,000 tweets on Tuesday morning. All in all, things have started looking up for Ahmed and we hope they stay that way. It’s easy to speculate why the problem got so big in the first place; it’s the name or being a Muslim that travelled with an unreasonable stereotype. But thankfully so many people stood up for Ahmed so we can say things are changing! After things started to cool down, Ahmed also tweeted in appreciation saying that he’s thankful for the support. And guess what? Kid’s got a verified account on Twitter now! THAT’s going to make him happy for sure!
