6 thoughts that went through our minds while watching the new Game of Thrones season 6 trailer!

It’s here! The much-awaited sneak peek of one of our favourite TV shows (EVER) is finally out and we’re just biting our lips with all the anticipation! With the new Game of Thrones season 6 trailer (the red band one) we have a mesh of confusing thoughts in our heads and we need an explanation!

Most of us have, obviously, already formed an opinion about the trailer, but just hear us out! So here are a few questions (thoughts rather) that went through our heads while watching the trailer repeatedly (like 4 times) and we bet all you GOT fanatics out there can somewhere relate to them. Here goes.

1. ‘He’s gone’! – Is Jon Snow REALLY DEAD?!?!? That can’t be. And why is he laying there dead all by himself? And what’s Davos Seaworth about to do with Ghost and Snow’s dead body? (Getting goose bumps here)

2. Are they seriously playing a very nice and melodious version of Wicked Gamesin the background? Like it’s a Katherine Heigl movie and she just got dumped, brutally! BTW, if you’re looking for this cover, it’s by James Vincent McMorrow.

3. Where did Lady Melisandre’s voodoo disappear suddenly? Okay, we get it; she didn’t get her great victory (the one she saw in the flames) but is that it? Did all those sacrifices and magical drama through the seasons go down the pothole?

4. Has Daenerys Targaryen lost everything? We mean, just look at her! Poor girl, quite literally. We need some hardcore dragon action NOW! And and and, Will Jorah Mormont ever realise that he has been friend-zoned for life? CTFO, bro!

5. Three cheers for Cersei Lannister! She finally grew some b*lls (it seems). After all those years of suffering and demise, the incestual damsel seems pretty ‘high’ on confidence and well, Jaime being he, again this season.

6. Woah woah woah, who are those two making out at 1:15 in the video? Are those new additions to the Game of Thrones family? It’s kinda hard to make out (for us, not them). LOL.

7. Bran Stark being up, close and personal with a white-walker? What’s that all about? How did they end up in the same battleground! I mean he’s just a kid.

April 24^th seems really far ahead and it’s just depressing to think about the long wait. Do let us know if you too got baffled with this trailer in the comments section below!

Game of Thrones Season 6 trailer is out and Jon Snow is there…. but dead

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here! Game of Thrones Season 6 trailer came out just few hours back and we’ve been watching it back to back to understand what’s in store for us this season. And from what we’ve understood, it might not make you happy, but then, it’s Game of Thrones – if you’re looking for something normal to happen, you better move aside.

Alright, so, we’re not going to ruin the trailer for you, but what we can tell you is Sansa and Reek (Theon) made it alive after that mad jump. Jaime is back home to Cersei. Melisandre has lost all hope. Basically, every character you can think of is dealing with a problem and oh well; it’s going to be fun to watch all of that. And one last thing, Jon Snow is dead. Well, at least till the time he’s brought back to life. Which might just happen because firstly, there’s a scene where Melisandre and Davos Seasworth are having a conversation (which you will see later) and then there’s this scene where Davos is standing next to Jon Snow’s corpse. So, we’re sure something is cooking. Oh and thirdly, we want Jon Snow to live!

Here’s what Game of Thrones’ new teaser has revealed

Game of Thrones’ fifth season ended with quite the cliffhanger and can we say sleepless nights followed? Fans went crazy stalking Kit Harrington only to find out if Jon Snow will come back in the new season. And then came the teasers, not just the video but even images and oh the fan theories. A new teaser came out very recently and we almost had to take deep breaths before watching it because duh it’s a GOT teaser!

The new teaser is titled ‘Hall of Faces’ and it takes you to exactly that. Remember when Arya went to the hall of faces in the Free City of Braavos? This is just that but with familiar faces. The teaser starts with the dead Starks including Ned Stark, Catelyn Stark and Robb Stark; it also features Joffrey Baratheon and eventually moves on to Jon Snow. No that doesn’t mean there is any confirmation of his death because what he see next in the hall of faces are faces of Tyrion Lannister, Arya Stark, Daenerys Targaryen, Sansa Stark, Cersei Lannister and Jaime Lannister. Does this mean they will all die? Or is there a twist that even the books still haven’t revealed? And what about Jon Snow? Will he come back?

The list of TV shows returning this year is as exciting as it can get! Tip: take deep breaths while you scroll down.

It’s here! The list we’ve been waiting for! The release dates for all (well, most of them) our favourite TV shows returning in 2016 are out. The list was mighty big and it took us a while to cut it down to this but we finally made it through. And now the only question that remains is, ‘how the f*ck are we going keep a tab on every damn show?’ but then again, where there is a will, there is a way. Many of the shows were divided in two parts, so, the ‘B’ basically refers to the second half of the season. The list is ready; the shows are ready to be aired. It’s you who needs to be prepared. Take a look at this beautiful list (We almost had tears).

#1 The Simpsons – Season 27B (January 3^rd)

There’s a reason that they’ve come so far with twenty seven seasons and still going strong. All because people have undying love for The Simpsons and the show very well deserves it! Back with the second half of the twenty seventh season; the show has already started airing, so, catch up, people!

Peter Griffin and the family are back to make you cry while you laugh. The animated series is loved by many all over the world. Family Guy is on air now!

You know, the same old story of three families dealing with themselves and the problems with the outcomes that start a laugh riot. The series has won numerous awards and you can watch it with your family! Sometimes it’s better to come out of your cave (read: room) and spend time with familiar faces? The second half of the seventh season started yesterday, you might want to look it up!

#6 Black-ish – Season 2B (January 6^th)

A black-comedy series about an African American family that’s trying to raise their kids in a white neighbourhood is hilarious and so light that you can watch the entire first season in one go and you’ll end up wanting more. Good for you, the second season has started rolling out! Something you should not miss out on.

#7 2 Broke Girls – Season 5B (January 6^th)

Even after four seasons and still broke, Max and Caroline have made it to the fifth season, good on them! We wish to see them start their own cupcake business and for that and the comedy they bring together, we will continue to watch them work for it!

Awarded ‘The Favourite TV Show’ by People’s Choice Awards clearly tells you how great this series is. The second half of the ninth season airs today and sadly it’s the second last season, so, cherish it.

#9 The Flash – Season 2B (January 19^th)

The Flash made it big from the very first episode and after one and half season gone, people have been waiting for the second half of the second season. Every fan knows how huge this series is and how maddening it is whenever Arrow and The Flash come together. And not to sound like a geek but they are starting a team and they’ll have a separate show (Legends of Tomorrow) which is coming out this year. HOW COOL IS THAT, HUH!?

#10 Supernatural – Season 11B (January 20^th)

Just two brothers kicking butts of evil, ghosts, monsters and other supernatural entities from the face of the Earth in this fantasy horror show. They’ve been doing this for eleven seasons and keep on coming back and that is why we love them!

Another one from the world of DC Comics where the rich kid, Oliver Queen vows to protect this city from all kind of evil and doing that with just a bow and a couple of arrows. How badass is that!? Second half of the fourth season is coming soon enough. Hold on tight!

After all the problems they have faced, Mike Ross and Harvey Specter are coming back at the end of this month. It sucks when they stop airing shows like this one in the middle and you sit with a straight face watching all the old episodes again till the new ones are out.

Welcoming the month of February with the second half of Castle’s eighth season (OH, Finally!). The showmakers should know by now that we are suckers for it and it’s not cool to make the viewers wait but anyway, it’s coming!

While the love birds will be busy celebrating Valentine’s Day, we will be in our room with our food and watching The Walking Dead and yes that sounds better. The spin off from Marvel’s The Avengers, follows the story of S.H.I.E.L.D. that brought all the superheroes together. The series shows the adventures of the organisation S.H.I.E.L.D. where they go against extraordinary and unexplainable threats.

#19 Empire – Season 2B, (March 30^th)

Luscious Lyon’s empire was stolen from under his nose and he couldn’t do anything about it. What’s more, Lyon’s apparent heir might have been killed in her womb by a furious Anika. We can’t wait to see what happens next. Find out on 30^th March when Empire’s mid season premiere airs on FOX.

Daredevil is Marvel’s first job at the small screen and whoever has watched the first season, knows that it was a job well done. The series is pretty heavy and amazingly brought to us by Netflix. The second season is said to be releasing in March but the release dates are yet to be announced.

Ever wondered how Game of Thrones would be if it was under Disney’s production? We have the answer.

Every fan knows that an episode of Game of Thrones can leave you feeling anything on the scale of ‘oh my God’ to ‘what the f*ck just happened?’ Say whatever, it’s hard to imagine Game of Thrones from a different angle for most of us and we aren’t talking about fan theories here but a completely different thing. Game of Thrones’ sixth season’s teaser is out and it really is just a big tease!

The forty second ‘teaser’ for Game of Thrones season six has left the world stunned, excited and with a lot of questions. First thing first, Jon Snow is there and so is everyone who has died so far in the series. Bummer, we know. But there are things that caught our attention. Like, the voiceover in the start that says, “We watch, we listen, and we remember. The past is already written. The ink is dry.” Followed by somewhat like a recap of most major events that happened in the last five seasons. The next thing we see is Brans warging into someone’s body and another voiceover follows in his voice saying, “They have no idea what’s going to happen.” And that’s it, HBO left us wondering what might just go down in season six but all we can do is make new theories to keep ourselves satisfied till the new season is out, which is April 2016.

Here’s the teaser, HBO has kind of fooled us, but you can’t help but watch it.

Jon Snow is alive, making a come back this April and we can’t wait to see him in action!

HBO shared a picture yesterday that had the world freaking out. The American television network retweeted a picture from Game of Thrones that shows Jon Snow and Jon Snow only. Of course people are freaking out over it because Jon Snow is alive (or so we’d like to believe) , but somehow we’ve kept our emotions aside and put a thought into that poster. It can easily be a public stunt. Just to mess with the fans and let them know what is coming to them in the month of April next year.

The picture shows Jon Snow’s face with a splash of blood and his eyes can’t be seen properly. From the looks of it, it looks something dark and mysterious. But that’s not it; this has left us confused because we don’t know what’s exactly going to happen and to figure that out we took a little help from the fan theories. These fan theories have a fifty-fifty chance of them being correct or incorrect. Well, that’s something we will have to live with for now.

Jon Snow can possibly be Azor Ahai. For those who are hearing this name from the first time, Azor Ahai was the one who ended the reign of White Walkers and brought end to ‘The Long Night’ a thousand years ago. According to the Legends, he is the one who forged the Lightbringer, the sword responsible to put White Walkers to death for good and would set its enemies into flames. Remember the tale Lady Melisandre always told Stannis about believing he will be the Azor Ahai? Well, we all know now that she was wrong after Stannis lost his life in his last battle (but he still lives in the books.)

As the prophecy goes according to Lady Melisandre, “When the red star bleeds and the darkness gathers, Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt to wake dragons out of stone.” And keeping the last season in mind, the times are getting tougher because the White Walkers have almost arrived.

Like it’s written in the books, while Jon’s brothers in the Night’s watch draw their daggers to stab him one by one, he lays in the snow with a pool of his blood which many fans consider as ‘salt and smoke’. If that’s how it is, Jon will be reborn. As cool and crazy as it sounds, we can’t confirm any of it.

We hope Jon Snow is alive! But does the teaser really give any confirmation?

Since the last scene of Game of Thrones’ fifth season, fans have been looking for Kit Harrington more than rats look for cheese. There were multiple speculations of his return to the show and fans were out to look for evidence.

He was spotted with his Jon Snow look in many locations giving a big clue to everyone as HBO tried to make people believe otherwise.

At an interview in September, Kit Harrington stated “Let’s just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I’ll probably be in my thirties when it’s over”.

And GOT book lovers came up with their own theories mostly circling around Lady Melisandre and her magic powers who is expected to resurrect him.

While fans looked for more such cues, HBO revealed a small teaser poster to finally put rumours to rest.

Did Neil Nitin Mukesh just grab a role in Game of Thrones?

The heir to the ‘Mukesh’ dynasty, Neil Nitin Mukesh is all set to go international with the American fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones! Now, lets take a deep breath and let this fact sink in because it’s true.

As reported by Mumbai Mirror earlier today, the stunt director of Game of Thrones (who is also the stunt director for the upcoming Bollywood movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo) was so impressed with the actor’s dedication in the month-long training he had for the movie, that he has now offered him a role in this legendary TV show.

Neil, who is also a major GOT fan, has confirmed the reports by stating that the role he’s been offered is in talks and its formal announcement is awaited.

What’s more? The actor also stated that he has no problem in going all nude in the show. We can’t wait to see what role is in store for him; though for now, let’s just hope he does not get killed in the first few episodes (sigh).

Game of Thrones season 5 finale: Et tu, Brute?

There wasn’t a single moment that didn’t lack grief in the last instalment of Game of Thrones season 5. And the best moment according to the makers of the show which was also the worst moment for the viewers, was obviously saved for the end. Some surprises, mostly shocks and a lot of sorrow are the ingredients of the last episode. Here is a list of the key moments. Spoilers included, goes without saying!

1) Too little too late – Stannis Baratheon

Setting his own daughter on fire in front of everyone in the name of the King’s blood did not do anything for Stannis Baratheon. Not only did half his army leave him overnight, his wife hung herself by a tree out of guilt and a conscience which wasn’t really helpful anymore. Stannis then heads to the Bolton’s only to realise that they are prepared for an open blood bath. And, needless to say, he loses the battle. In other news, Lady Melisandre anticipating the situation of Stannis’ army heads to Castle Black like a coward. On meeting Jon Snow, she says nothing (no mention of what she did to Princess Shireen too) and walks inside with a grieving face. Revenge finally sets in when Lady Brienne of Tarth kills Stannis Baratheon avenging the death of Renly Baratheon (because she used to serve him then).

2) Meet Arya Stark face to face

Arya Stark finally crosses a name off her list by killing Ser Meryn Trant appearing as a child prostitute in front of him. While we felt proud of her in that very moment, but like always, the pride was snatched away from us when Jaqar H’ghar tells Arya that she killed someone she wasn’t supposed to because of her personal reasons and she must pay for it. Pay she does and loses her eyesight!

3) Sansa Stark and Theon Greyjoy

The moment Lady Brienne and her squire turn their sight away from the high tower; Sansa manages to light that candle she had been meaning to for so long. All that effort was basically of no good. While Ramsay is out for war, Sansa tries to flee only to run into Reek and Ramsay’s lover, Myranda. While Myranda plans to return Sansa to Ramsay Bolton, so he can use her to get an heir, Reek (or Theon Greyjoy) finally mans up and pushes Myranda down to death. They both then jump from the wall, hand-in-hand leaving their fates to the Gods.

4) Cersei Lannister – The walk of shame

Broken and bogged down, Cersei decides to confess to the High Sparrow and wishes to spend time with her son in return. She only confesses to being involved with cousin Lancel Lannister out of marriage (no mention of Jamie anywhere) and the High Sparrow agrees to her wish given that she has completed her atonement and walk of shame. She is then stripped down, washed, locks chopped off and made to walk naked till King’s Landing while people curse her and throw… let’s just say things, at her.

5) Jamie Lannister finally feels what it’s like to be a father for 5 seconds

While bidding their goodbyes to Dorne, Ellaria Sand plants a long kiss on Myrcella’s lips wishing her all the happiness in the world. Jamie Lannister, Prince Trystane, Bronn and Myrcella then finally set out for King’s Landing when Jamie tries to tell Myrcella the truth about him and Cersei only to find out that she already knows. They share a brief father-daughter moment in a warm embrace when Myrcella starts bleeding from her nose and well…dies. Need help connecting the dots? Ellaria is then shown wiping her nose in Dorne and drinking the antidote to save her from the poison that was on her and Myrcella’s lips.

6) Are the Dothraki’s back?

Tyrion, Missandei and Grey Worm take charge of Meereen as Khaleesi is out in the wild with her dragon, when Jorah and Daario begin their quest to bring her back. Khaleesi and her hungry dragon, who is of no use at the moment, are in the middle of nowhere when Khaleesi is surrounded by the Dothraki army (Remember how they hate her?). She very smartly drops her ring so that someone can trace her but do the Dothrakis think of her the same way?

7) You really know nothing Jon Snow!

Just like his father Ned Stark, Jon Snow stood up for an honourable cause and got deceived by his own. He was tricked by Olly under the pretext of knowing the whereabouts of his uncle Benjen. He was then stabbed by the men of the Night’s Watch repeatedly (Et tu, Brute?). The most painful part is that the last person to stab him is Olly, that little kid!
