‘I accept the decision of the judiciary with humility’ – Salman Khan on the #SalmanVerdict

The news is out! B-town’s favourite Bhaijaan is now a free man (not like he wasn’t really exactly free before). Salman Khan had been convicted of culpable homicide and sentenced to five years in jail for a hit-and-run accident in 2002. And today, on 10th December, 2015 he was acquitted of all charges by a Bombay high court judge.

What followed was a Twitter outrage with the Twitterati expressing how they feel about the final verdict. While some showed support, some pointed out the issues that still remain unresolved. Take a look.

The moment you realise that Shilpa Shetty’s most recent track is a mini advertisement for several brands!

We get to see Shilpa Shetty once in a blue moon on the big screens these days, but each time she comes back her work is commendable. We are not too sure if we can say the same about her most recent track ‘wedding ka season hai’, well it comes across as a mini advertisement for several brands to us.

If u are a good observer, we are sure our thoughts don’t vary much. The song starts with Shilpa holding a wedding card designed by a famous Indian wedding card designer Ravish Kapoor (well that makes it number 1). What follows next is Shilpa wearing Nirav Modi’s ‘Mughal Garden’ necklace teamed with a pair of Mughal ear-clips and embrace bangles (number 2).

She has effortlessly managed to promote Nirav Modi’s jewellery collection throughout the song, and amidst all this you will also spot her giving out Subash Sarees and Beyond’s shopping bag to the bride (ahem, number 3).

Goes without saying, this song is perfect for big fat Indian weddings (as it centers around different communities) and makes us want to dance to its tunes.

Pictures: Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan spotted TOGETHER, for real!

The world waits to spot these two Khans together and it happened yet again. Yes, for real and we just can’t stop looking at the pictures. Shah Rukh Khan will be promoting his movie ‘Dilwale’ on the sets of Bigg Boss 9 with Salman Khan for the very first time and the two met to shoot the promo at Mehboob studios, according to reports.

Let’s admit it, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are one of the hottest Bollywood couples currently and with their much awaited flick Bajirao Mastani’s release date just around the corner, the real life couple is spotted at various events promoting their film.

The dynamic duo was recently found romancing and pulling off their antics (Ranveer Singh especially) at the sets of the Colors TV show Swaragini. Deepika Padukone was seen wearing an Anju Modi saree, the label behind the movie’s costumes, and needless to say looked gorgeous as ever. Ranveer was also spotted promoting the movie in character but the best part was their PDA. Don’t these two make PDA also look cool? We think so.

Jacqueline Fernandez was spotted more off-screen than on-screen this year and we can’t say we have any complaints. The Sri Lankan beauty is a treat for the eyes with her charming looks and her effortless style. Spotted recently making many lovely public appearances, Jacqueline Fernandez has managed to inspire many fashionistas and we’ve got all her best looks from the recent lot in one place just for you.

At Range Rover Evoque 2016’s launch event, the actor sported an orange, black and white Givenchy dress with black pumps. Her hair was tied up and makeup/accessories were minimal with only red lips and ear loops.

At Dessange Paris’ second anniversary celebration in Mumbai, the former model walked the ramp in a red Amit Aggarwal gown looking radiant as ever. The makeup and accessories were minimal again, with hair tied in front braids.

For the launch of Motorola Moto 360 (2nd Generation) smartwatch in Delhi, Jacky chose separates and we loved the fact that she didn’t go the usual dress/gown way. A pencil leather skirt in black paired with a pleated black top made her look perfect. Big earrings, beige pumps and the Moto 360 smartwatch completed the ensemble.

Jacqueline wore a sheer gown by the Lebanese designer Shady Zeineldine to The Absolute Elyx Filmfare Glamour and Style Awards with half-tied hair and just earrings again. We absolutely adored the gown although we do feel it would’ve looked better had it been fully-lined. Her makeup was minimal and neutral that made the entire do stand out.

Separates made an appearance yet again, this time in colour, for the launch of Body Shop’s new collection. Lime yellow top and skirt with a thigh-high slit both by The Circus and Louboutins, with soft curls made the get up look easy and chic.

Mumbai airport celebrity diaries: spotted Kareena, Kangana, Sonam and many more

Mumbai airport was found flooded with celebrities last weekend, each one of them dressed quite differently than the other.

Kareena and Kangana were spotted together at the airport for their appearance at the HT Leadership Summit, where both of them were full of praises for each other. Kangana gave us two different looks and the former just one. Kareena was seen wearing a casual pullover with denims and a pair of black knee-length boots. Kangana on the other hand carried out a funky look wearing a bomber jacket and her baggy pants followed by a second look in a shirt and skirt combo teamed with a Burberry trench.

Bollywood’s very own fashionista, Sonam Kapoor looked quite similar to Kareena Kapoor in a routine white tee and denim look, teamed with an oversized cardigan.Vidya Balan looked her usual self wearing a comfy shirt-kurta paired with flats looking slightly in-character from her upcoming thriller, Ribhu Dasgupta’s Te3n.

Rocking the November look in December, Ranvir Shorey was also seen at the airport keeping it very casual, if we might call it, dressed in a hulk tee and denims.

Style meets glamour at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2015, Mumbai

Mumbai witnessed a two day extravaganza of style and glamour as the 11th edition of Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2015 kicked off on 4th of December at the Grand Hyatt hotel.

The tour commenced on 4^th December and presented gorgeous creations by designers JJ Valaya, Rahul Mishra, Masaba Gupta and designer duo Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna over two days. Take a look at the pictures from the event.

Day 1 at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2015 began with simple yet edgy outfits, a trademark aesthetic, by designer Rahul Mishra in shades of black, blue and white. Models walked the ramp wearing ensembles perfect for fall with hint of sheer and leather in subtle prints.

The day ended with an exhilarating show by designer JJ Valaya who left everyone mesmerised with his designs. His collection named ‘The Bolshoi Bazaar’, consisted of suits and sarees with intricate embroidery in shades of scarlet, red and indigo. Actress Sonakshi Sinha stole the show with her smile as she walked the ramp for the designer looking glamourous in a red lehenga.

Day 2 at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2015 witnessed a modern twist with innovative and quirky creations by designer Masaba Gupta. Models walked the ramp wearing short jackets, capes and shirt dresses with a hint of bling in bold and bright shades of blue, orange, pink and yellow.

The second day of the grand affair ended with models showcasing classic and chic designs by the famous designer duo Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna. Their collection consisted of sequined jumpsuits and dresses in shades of black, white and beige. The evening came to an end with actress Parineeti Chopra, as showstopper in a black sequenced cape dress looking simply breath taking.

The Mumbai edition of the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2015 left everyone spellbound and was a complete delight to the eyes.

Kalki Koechlin walks for designer Mayyur Girotra and we just can’t take our eyes off her!

Designer Mayyur Girotra marked one of the biggest fashion previews in the capital last week by bringing back the old world charm of Moulin Rouge and we are still hanging here all mesmerised by it.

Presenting a collection that makes us want to go back to the 70’s, the biggest highlight of this preview was Kalki Koechelin, of the ‘Margarita with a straw’ fame, looking stunning in a black floor length structured jacket with pants.

Embellished sarees, lehengas, fitted pants and dresses; all in shades of red, gold, black and white dominated the collection.

What’s more, there was a little something in the men’s section too, comprising bandhgala’s, Nehru jackets and kurtas’ in similar tones making the entire collection a sparkly line-up for the big fat Indian weddings.

Dilwale’s team joins hands with CNN to support abolition of slavery

On The International Day for the Abolition of Slavery, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were seen helping CNN spread awareness about modern slavery by shooting paper planes with a message written on them followed by a hashtag that read Fly to Freedom. The two also passed the baton to Varun Dhawan and Kirti Sanon, enabling them to follow the movement. Both the young actors will be soon witnessed sharing the screen with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in their upcoming movie Dilwali.

Celebrity Spotting: Saif Ali Khan, Randeep Hooda among many more at GQ Fashion Nights 2015 in Mumbai

Another star-studded affair, the GQ Fashion Nights in Mumbai left us gasping and how! We love GQ for providing that extra edge to men’s fashion and GQ fashion nights just took the awesomness to another level.

Held at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai, the GQ Fashion Nights was a mix of all things fashion, style and men. The red carpet saw the best of B-town turn up looking glamorous including Dia Mirza, Zaheer Khan, Pernia Qureshi, Adhuna Akhtar, Mandira Bedi, Kabir Bedi and many more.

Bollywood movies coming out this December have got us on our toes!

December has got some awesome movies planned for us, ones we’ve been waiting for. Some of these movies have been in the news for a long while and some we haven’t even heard of. The following movies are hitting the screens this December, take a look and decide which movie’s tickets you are getting booked!

#1 Hate Story 3: 4^th December

After the success of Hate Story 2, director Vishal Pandya is coming up with Hate Story 3 which stars Sharman Joshi, Zarine Khan, Karan Singh Grover, Puja Gupta and Daisy Shah. The plot of the movie is still not out, but the trailer is and we are not sure if we are looking forward.

#2 Angry Indian Goddesses: 4^th December

Angry Indian Goddesses is a movie about a group of all girl-friends who are invited to Goa at a friend’s place, and are surprised when they are told that one of their friends, Frieda, is getting married. The movie shows what happens next when all the secrets start coming out of the closet. The movie features a massive star cast including Sandhya Mridul, Anushka Manchanda, Amrit Maghera and many more.

#3 Kajarya: 4^th December

The movie, Kajarya, talks about the topic of sex selection in India. A thriller that moves through the city and villages of Haryana conveying a story about two women, Kajarya being the first one, a villager who’s been given the job to kill the newborn girls and a Journalist from New Delhi in search for a story, being the other one.

#4 Ishq Click: 11^th December

Ishq Click is a story of a girl who moves to Mumbai to make herself known in the world of modelling. In her journey, she comes across a photographer who she falls in love with. Adhyayan Suman and Sara Loren are in the lead.

#5 Bajirao Mastani: 18^th December

One of the most awaited movies of this year and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 14 years of work will be seen this month. The movie is a love story of Peshwa Baji Rao and his second wife Mastani. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are in the lead roles while Priyanka Chopra plays Baji Rao’s first wife, Kashibai.

#6 Dilwale: 18^th December

The movie that EVERYONE is talking about! Fan or no fan but everyone wants to see what Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan are bringing to the screen. The plot for the movie is not available yet but who wants to know when you have the legendary duo on screen again after ages. The cast of the movie also includes Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sonan, Boman Irani and Kabir Bedi. It has been directed by Rohit Shetty.

Red carpet diaries: The Abolsut Elyx Filmfare Glamour and Style Awards

Held on 30^th November at Taj Land’s End in Mumbai, The Abolsut Elyx Filmfare Glamour and Style Awards 2015 was an extravagant affair and rightly so. Stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Dia Mirza and Alia Bhatt among others were spotted wearing their most stylish ensembles and we were impressed!

The evening was hosted by actress Neha Dhupia and witnessed entertaining performances by the music director duo Amaal & Armaan Malik and India’s first woman stand-up comedian Aditi Mittal.

Director Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakna Do won the award for the most glamourous film of the year. While actress Sonam Kapoor who is known for her chic sense of fashion, bagged the Absolut Elyx Style & Substance Award and the most stylish star of the year award.

The fourth song ‘Malhari’, from the much-awaited Bajirao Mastani is out and it looks nothing less than magical. Present at the launch were actors Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra who performed for the audience and interacted with the media.

Sung by Vishal Dadlani and choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, the song signifies victory and celebration where Bajirao motivates his soldiers for future battles.
