Sonam donned a shoulder-cut out oversized sweater teamed with a draped satin skirt, from the ace designer Prabal Gurung’s spring’16 collection. The movie is a biographical drama based on Neerja Bhanot’s sacrifice and remarkable courage that enabled her to save 360 lives. Neerja was shot dead on 5th September 1986. She was the flight attendant on a Pan Am Flight 73 when terrorists in Karachi hijacked it.

1) Ghayal Once Again – 5th February
Home production of the Deols, Ghayal Once Again is the sequel to the blockbuster of the 1990’s Ghayal. The movie has been produced by Dharmendra and directed by the versatile Sunny Deol who is also the lead actor in the movie. This action drama will also feature Soha Ali Khan and Shivam Patil. The movie was set to hit the screens on 13th November 2015 but got delayed as it was unable to meet the deadline, reportedly due to VFX work. The Hollywood action co-ordinator, Dan Bradley, has designed the action sequences and the movie is now set to release on 5th February.

2) Fitoor – 12 February
One of the most awaited movies of 2016, Fitoor is an alteration of Charles Dickens’s novel Great Expectation. This ode to love is directed by Abhishek Kapoor who also directed Kai Po Che. Starring Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead roles, the movie centers around a young Kashmiri boy Noor and his lady love Firdaus. The movie will also feature Tabu as a temperamental Begum.

3) Sanam Re – 12th February
Starring Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam in the lead roles, Sanam Re is an intense romantic drama directed by Yaariyan fame’s Divya Khosla Kumar and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Ajay Kapoor. The movie also features Urvashi Rautela and Rishi Kapoor in pivotal supporting roles. Sanam Re is all set to hit the screen during the Valentine week in 2016.

4) Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive – 19 February
Sequel to the 2010 film Tere Bin Laden, Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive is a forthcoming quirky comical satire. Starring Manish Paul, Pradhuman Singh, Piyush Mishra and Mia Uyeda, the movie revolves around the controversy created about Osama’s death only depicted with a lot of humour.

5) Neerja – 19th February
Neerja as the name suggests is an incredible biographical film based on Late Neerja Bhanot, a 23 year old flight attendant who was shot dead on a Pan Am Flight 73; the flight that was hijacked by terrorists in Karachi on 5th September 1986. The movie features Sonam Kapoor, Shabana Azmi and Shekhar Ravjiani and narrates the story of Neerja Bhanot’s sacrifice and remarkable courage that enabled her to save 360 lives.

6) Aligarh – 29th February
Directed by National Award winner Hansal Mehta, Aligarh starring Rajkummar Rao and Manoj Bajpayee is based on a true incident of a professor from Aligarh Muslim University. Professor Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras played by Manoj Bajpayee, taught Marathi language and was sacked from his job because of his sexual preferences. The movie depicts his struggle to find a place in the society.
Run time: 120 minutes

Eros Now shared the trailer for their upcoming movie, Aligarh, that stars Manoj Bajpai in the lead as a gay professor and Rajkummar Rao as a journalist. Hansal Mehta’s Aligarh is based on a true story in which Dr Srinivas Ramchandra Siras, a professor who taught Marathi at Aligarh Muslim University was suspended from his position of Reader and Chair of Modern Indian Languages because he was homosexual.
The trailer is as powerful as the subject of the movie and has already got the ‘Adult’ certificate just because homosexuality is considerd a taboo in our country! Hansal Mehta, the director of the movie, was furious about the decision taken by the censor board and so were these people who didn’t hold back in saying what they had to say! Hasn’t it reached a stage where we need to move on and embrace these sensitive matters with an open mind?

The Bajirao Mastani actress donned an all- red ensemble, matching her exquisite red Tissot watch. Bollywood’s young lovebirds Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt who debuted together in Student of The Year, were recently spotted outside Karan Johar’s office in Mumbai. Reportedly, the two will be seen sharing the screen in Karan Johar’s upcoming movie Kapoor and Sons so we are guessing they were spotted outside the office for work. Wearing a brocade dress by Neha Taneja was Radhika Apte. We’re not sure if it were the puffed sleeves or the gold footwear, but the dress didn’t quite stand out for us. A leaner silhouette would’ve flattered her beauty more. What say?

Donning a crop top and skirt combo by Zara Umrigar was Sonakshi Sinha. While we love the outfit on her, we’re not sure if the styling and the footwear choice did her justice. This would be a no for us, what about you?

Another black gown sighting, Athiya Shetty looked rather bland. We’re not sure if it’s her attitude that’s dragging down the look but the overall effect of the otherwise great outfit just didn’t work.
