    March is upon us and we are already making our movie calendar for the month. Now that the Oscars’ fever is over, we are all set to find out Bollywood has in store for all us movie buffs. Take a look at this list of Bollywood movies releasing in March 2016 and plan your weekends. Oh and if you’re a Rishi Kapoor fan, this month is especially for you. 

    Jai Gangaajal – 4th March

    One of the most awaited movies of this year, Jai Gangaajal, is the second instalment in the crime movie series Gangaajal starring Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. Chopra plays the role of an IPS officer SP Abha Mathur, the first ever female SP of Bankipur district, Bihar; and the story portrays her encounter with the local MLA and his supporters.

    Running time – 158 minutes

    Zubaan – 4th March

    Starring Vicky Kaushal and Sarah Jane Dias, Zubaan, is a musical drama. The movie revolves around the story of a young boy, played by Kaushal, who develops a fear of music at an early age and his journey of overcoming the fear.

    Running time – 115 minutes

    Do Lafzon Ki Kahani – 4th March

    Deepak Tijori’s directorial venture, Do Lafzon Ki Kahani, is a love story between an ex-martial arts artist and a sculptor artist. The roles have been portrayed by Randeep Hooda and Kajal Aggarwal respectively, and the movie depicts the twists and turns they face in their relationship when their past is revealed.

    Teraa Surroor – 11th March

    Sequel to the 2007 movie Aap Kaa Surroor, Teraa Surroor, starring Himesh Reshammiya and Farah Karimaee is set to hit the screens on 11th March. The movie surprisingly also features B-town biggies Naseeruddin Shah, Shekhar Kapur and Kabir Bedi along with Monica Dogra.

    Running time – 135 minutes

    Kapoor & Sons – 18th March

    Another movie to look forward to from the list of Bollywood movies releasing in March 2016, Kapoor & Sons, has already caused ripples and how. Dharma productions, Rishi Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, Ratna Pathak, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan; do we need to say more? If the ensemble cast details aren’t enough for you to get going, there’s more. The movie revolves around two brothers, Fawad Khan and Sidharth Malhotra, YES you read that right, falling in love with the same girl (played by Alia Bhatt) and the events that follow.

    Running time – 134 minutes

    Rocky Handsome – 25th March

    An adaptation of the Korean movie The Man From Nowhere, Rocky Handsome, is about a man trying to rescue a young girl from the drug mafia because of the special bond he shares with her. The movie stars John Abraham and Shruti Hassan in the lead roles.

    Bollywood movies releasing in November

    With just three movies releasing this month seems like Bollywood is laying low. But to make up for the lack of number, B’town is offering Deepika Paduone, Sonam Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Naseerudin Shah and Salman Khan together in a month. Yes that’s right; mark your calendars for Charlie Ke Chakkar Mein, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Tamasha. Here’s everything you need to know about these Bollywood movies releasing in the month of November.

     1) Charlie ke Chakkar Mein – 6th November

    Charlie ke Chakkar Mein is a thriller drama starring Anand Tiwari and Naseeruddin Shah. Based on a true murder case, this movie revolves around the Commissioner of Police, Sanket Pujari (played by Naseeruddin Shah) and his rookie officer Sameera who try to unfold a rare multiple homicide case that was caught on camera.

    Run Time – 1 hour 42 minutes

    2) Prem Ratan Dhan Payo – 12th November

    One of the most awaited movies this year, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is a family drama directed by Sooraj Barjatya. Starring Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles and Neil Nitin Mukesh and Armaan Kohli in supporting roles, the movie is set to release on 12thNovemeber. The film revolves around the love story of Salman Khan who plays a double role (of a king and a boxer) in the film and Sonam Kapoor, who plays the role of a princess.

    3) Tamasha – 27th Novemeber

    Directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Tamasha is a romantic drama film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Shot mostly in France, this movie is the story of a tourist, Ved (Ranbir Kapoor) and a nomad, Tara (Deepika Padukone) who fall in love with each other on their journey in Corsica.

    Bollywood is set to keep you entertained with mostly light-hearted comedies this month with Welcome Back, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, Katti Batti and many more. Take a look at this list of Bollywood movies releasing in September 2015 and get your tickets booked now.


    1) Welcome Back – 4th September

    Sequel to the 2007 movie Welcome featuring Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal from the prequel and John Abraham along with Shruti Hassan in the lead, Welcome Back will take you on a laughter ride. The story revolves around the dons (Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor) who have reformed their lives as respectable members of the society and their love charades with a thug Babita aka Rajkumari Chandini (played by Ankita Shrivastava) who claims to be the Princess of Najafgadh. Simultaneously, their sister Ranjhana (Shruti Hassan) falls in love with Ajju bhai (John Abraham) who is a goon from Mumbai.

    2) Hero – 11th September

    Salman Khan’s home production, Hero is an upcoming action and romantic film that is a remake of Subash Ghai’s 1983 film of the same name. Making their debuts in this movie are Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj Pancholi and Sunil Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty. The story revolves around Sooraj, a gangster in Mumbai who kidnaps Radha, daughter of the city’s chief of police. During their journey, Sooraj falls in love with Radha and decides to release her and ends up fighting against the system for her.

    3) Katti Batti- 18th September

    This romedy is an anti-love story revolving around Madhav (Imran Khan) who falls in love with Payal (Kangana Ranaut) because of hercarefree attitude towards life. The film follows their five years live-in relationship that ends suddenly as Payal leaves Madhy because of his seriousness for the relationship. One of the most awaited movies on the list of Bollywood movies releasing in September 2015, this movie flick makes for a must-watch.

    4) MSG 2, The Messenger – 18th September

    Sequel to MSG: The Messenger, this movie revolves around Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, who plays himself as a selfless social reformer and his pursuit to change the law of the jungle that prevails.

    5) Kis Kisko Pyar Karoon – 25th September

    Kis Kisko Pyar Karoon is a slapstick comedy that will mark Indian stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma’s debut in B-town. In this movie Kapil plays the role of a man who is known by 3 different identities and simultaneous marriages. Despite having three marriages, he falls in love with another woman (Elli Avram) and plans to marry her as well.

    Dil Dhadakne Do trailer launch: Meet the Mehras!

    The first trailer of Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do is finally out and we can’t stop watching it. Starring Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh as siblings, and Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah as their parents, the movie revolves around a cruise trip taken by this Punjabi family (the Mehras). Also accompanying them on this trip is Anushka Sharma as Ranveer Singh’s bae and Farhan Akhtar as Priyanka Chopra’s friend along with the family dog ‘Pluto Mehra’ and Rahul Bose as Chopra’s husband.

    Anil Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh and Zoya Akhtar were spotted at the trailer launch. Here are the pictures.

    As per the trailer, the family goes through many discoveries and revelations about each other and their lives and that is exactly what the flick centres around. Chopra is sick of her husband and an apparently poor sex life, Akhtar seems to be her ex-boyfriend and Anushka Sharma’s character looks like someone Ranveer Singh met on the cruise and fell in love with immediately. The twist comes in when they realise that the parents (Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah) have been putting up a charade of looking happy, Chopra wants a divorce and Ranveer Singh has been promised to a family friend’s daughter in exchange for a jet plane.     The movie is set to release on 5th June, 2015.
