British singer-songwriter Sir Elton John expressed his outrage towards the fashion brand ‘Dolce & Gabbana’ last Sunday for making remarks against same-sex marriage and gay adoptions in an interview with the Italian fashion magazine ‘Panorama’.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbano, the founder-duo of the famous Italian brand quoted that the children who aren’t born into traditional families are “children of chemistry”. Here’s what they stated in the 12th March, 2015 issue of the Italian magazine ‘Panorama’ – “We oppose gay adoptions. The only family is the traditional one. No chemical offsprings and rented uterus: life has a natural flow; there are things that should not be changed.”
To which the furious songwriter/legend responded by saying “How dare you refer to my beautiful children as “synthetic.” And shame on you for wagging your judgmental little fingers at IVF — a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfill their dream of having children.“
Here’s a screen shot of Sir Elton John’s Instagram from last week that further elucidates his anger and his decision to boycott Dolce & Gabbana with the hashtag #BoycottDolceGabbana.
The only thing that baffles us is the fact that the duo once appeared in a 2005 edition of ‘Vanity Fair’ magazine posing for a ‘Family photograph’ with kids.
