Skrillex to tour India in October! YES, it’s official!

The wait is FINALLY over! Sonny John Moore, better known as Skrillex is coming to India this October and people are excited! Known for his contribution to the world of techno, dubstep and electro house music, Skrillex is going to play his beats in not two or three but four cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Asian food indulgence at Chi Asian Cookhouse now in Janpath

There are now many restaurants in Delhi offering great Asian food, and they are only getting better. Thank people with open mindsets and taste palettes along with an ever-increasing sense of competition to win over the hearts of Delhiites, known for taking their food very damn seriously.

Offering Pan-Asian food in the most accessible part of the city, Janpath, now is Chi Asian Cookhouse; a reinvention of Chi Kitchen & Bar (at Select Citywalk Mall, Saket). For those who love digging into real Asian food, this place is a must-visit. What’s great about the place is that it does not offer fusion-Asian and the place isn’t decked with the colour red or the obvious Chinese motifs that really just distract you from enjoying the real taste of the food.

Their food menu offers salads, soups, skewers, oriental roasts, dimsums, crisps, pancakes & rolls and some more main dishes. Gone are the days when one placed food orders following a script starting with soup & salad, moving on to the starters followed by the rest, which is why we ordered the dimsums first. Since we haven’t been to many places offering good prawn dimsums in Delhi, we ordered that first and didn’t regret the decision at all. Soft on the outside and just the perfect amount of crisp on the inside their ‘Prawn Cheung Fun’ was exactly what we were looking for. The dark soy sauce served with added just the right flavour to it.

The ‘Ho Chi Minh Grilled Chicken Satay’ (chicken skewers seasoned with chilli and lemon leaf) and the ‘Cho Ca Thang’ (Vietnamese fish skewers served with turmeric and dill) were the starters. The chicken was slightly over done but the garlic sauce paired with it made up for the dry taste.

If you’re a fan of curry, then you must definitely order the ‘Cheating Chilli Prawns’ served in a tangy yet very chilli sauce. Order the aromatic rice to go with them, we’d recommend the ‘Roast Garlic and Coriander’ rice. Finish off with the warm coconut pancakes served with vanilla ice cream, topped with an orange drizzle and thank us later.

Say goodbye to split ends with these easy tips and tricks

Split ends are a common problem and unfortunately we all have to deal with it. The leading cause for split ends is the hair shaft losing its natural moisture making the strands split. Take a look at this informative picture for some amazing tips and tricks to bid adieu to split ends!

1) Get a Trim

The best way to avoid split ends is to get your hair trimmed on a regular basis.

2) Beat the Heat

Styling hair can cause major split ends but that doesn’t mean that you have to stop straightening or blow drying your hair. All you have to do is limit how much heat you subject to your tresses. Nowadays there are hair stylers that have adjustable heat levels that work right on fleek without damaging your hair.

Even hot water showers strip away the moisture off the hair so make sure you always rinse your hair with cool water at the end of every shower.

3) Shampoo & condition correctly

Most of the times when we shampoo we tend to over wash our hair and apply too much shampoo even at the ends. We even apply a lot of conditioner to the roots which makes them greasy in less than a day. One should always shampoo the roots and apply conditioner on the length of the hair.

4) Comb it out

Always use a wide-tooth comb to detangle your tresses. Hair tends to break and split more when it’s wet.

The most effective way to get rid of split ends is to get them cut at regular intervals especially for women trying to grow their length. Lack of proper nutrition and moisture can also worsen your hair’s health and continue splitting up to the length of your hair.

Here are few home remedies to get rid of split ends.

Remedy 1- Egg Mask

Whisk an egg yolk with 2 to 3 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of honey. Apply it on damp hair and leave it for 30 minutes. Shampoo your hair the usual way.

Remedy 2- Mayonnaise Mask

Towel dry wet hair and apply half a cup of mayonnaise to your hair. Keep it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse it out and shampoo your hair the usual way.

11 suit commandments every man should follow!

Problems every Delhiite faces on a normal day

There’s no two ways about the fact that Delhiites are very proud of the city they live in. They have great malls to shop at and amazing places to eat at but like every other place in the world, Delhi comes with its own set of problems too. Don’t believe us? Take a look at these few problems every Delhiite faces on a normal day, well almost.

#1) Traffic

Every Delhiite is aware of what’s coming their way when they leave their workplace or home. Delhi traffic has killed more plans than a sudden change in weather.

If you think it’s easier for Delhiites to travel, sorry to break this to you, it isn’t true. Many people prefer auto over other means of transport but it’s not always easy to find a ride home that too at a reasonable price.
