    The Truth about online shopping!

Online shopping offers comfort, convenience, choices and great discounts especially when you’re planning festival shopping like Christmas. Every person who shops online in India has a preferred set of websites from the popular online shopping sites. Contrary to common perception online shopping also functions the way normal walk-in stores do. It comes with its target segments and customers. Here’s a list of digital marketplace offerings you must know before you finish your Christmas shopping.

    #1 Marketplace shopping

If you have ever shopped from any popular online shopping sites in India like  Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal or ShopClues, you’ve shopped at a comprehensive marketplace. Websites like these have a seller-based model where sellers put their products for sale online. So if you get a faulty product, your product goes back to the seller and not the web entity itself.

  • Bhane: Revolutionizing India’s street fashion

    Bhane: Revolutionizing India’s street fashion

Bhane’s clothes promise to redefine basic street fashion in India. And Anand Ahuja, the founder of Bhane, talks to Trendspotters TV about Bhane fashion and his brand, founded on the values of ‘simplicity, individuality and respect’. Here are the excerpts from his interview:

Anand: Bhane is simple. It’s simple clothing and it’s about your own style and the idea of ‘live in the moment’. It’s just clean, simple and fun.

Keeping with the brand’s tag line ‘Live Simply, Simply Live’, Ahuja used regular people from different walks of lives as models to display his collection online.

Anand: We used this small group of people. But a lot of them aren’t even full time models. One is a designer, one is a student so we had this whole… like a small group but they were also people who had other positions and also friends of the photographer and stylist so that got us going. In our second season, spring/summer collection we had 150 different people so for each item we shot a different person, different heights, different sizes, different ethnicities, different everything.

‘Bhane’ stands for everything which signifies street fashion but according to Ahuja it’s a small coterie of people who have made it a trend to reckon with.

Anand: The idea of very basic style-forward and trend-forward clothing in India, I think it’s a small group of people. It’s kind of the early adopters. People who are already in fashion, people who are well travelled or people who are in some sort of related fields… they tend to be the ones who are the most responsive so far.
