Internet is such a wonderful place, it helps you find so much of what you need and so much of what you don’t, buuuuttt….you waste your time on it anyway. And then again, some of these things you discover online can make you cringe like never before. Okay, let’s cut to the chase, here’s something you most-definitely-absolutely need to see!

Check out this video of a young girl asking for donations so she can get herself a new Apple MacBook (she has got FOUR of them already) or at least can get the old one repaired. Other than that, she also put up a fight with her mother because she got a slightly yet really good phone instead of the one she asked for. We’re going to ask you to keep control on your hands and not punch yourself or the screen while you’re watching the video. And, sure, please don’t forget to donate some cash.

  • Dilwale’s team joins hands with CNN to support abolition of slavery

Dilwale’s team joins hands with CNN to support abolition of slavery

On The International Day for the Abolition of Slavery, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were seen helping CNN spread awareness about modern slavery by shooting paper planes with a message written on them followed by a hashtag that read Fly to Freedom. The two also passed the baton to Varun Dhawan and Kirti Sanon, enabling them to follow the movement. Both the young actors will be soon witnessed sharing the screen with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in their upcoming movie Dilwali.

Humans have matched pace with time and evolved step by step, starting from the medieval period to the 21st century. However, we often forget that there exists a rather large bunch of people who are still devoid of basic human rights and freedom. And to especially help the cause of human trafficking, CNN International initiated the CNN Freedom Project back in 2011 that has been working tremendously for rescuing victims.

CNN Freedom project is a humanitarian news media campaign that seeks to educate and advocate against modern slavery. The Diwale team came together in support of the cause urging everyone to join the movement. Take a look at the video.

Let us all stand against Modern Slavery and turn this whimsical dream into reality #FlytoFreedom. When is your flight taking off?

#ProfileForPeace: India and Pakistan stand together like never before

Peace is the way forward for both India and Pakistan, two nations that are politically divided but habitually so united that the similarities never fail to amaze anybody. And to highlight the solidarity between the common people of both the countries, Mumbai-based Ram Subramanian started a campaign called Profile for Peace.

The 36-year old “artivist” as he calls himself, was startled when he heard about a renowned Pakistani artist being banned from performing in India by the Shiv Sena in Mumbai. To voice his opinion against these actions he resorted to social media and posted the following picture with the heart-touching note, urging people to change their profile pictures in support.

  • ‘Time taken to travel to work should count as work’, European court rules

‘Time taken to travel to work should count as work’, European court rules

The European Court of Justice has recently ruled that ‘time spent travelling to and from first and last appointments by workers without a fixed office should be regarded as working time’.

According to EU working time regulations, people employed as care workers, gas fitters and sales reps should be given spare time to cover travel as a part of their work shifts. This ruling has been passed to look after the ‘health and safety’ benefits of the workers and to allow them reasonable time to tend to their personal needs.

The directive has been specially designed to safeguard workers from long working hours, exploitation and employee-burnouts. One of its main goals also is to ensure that no employee works for more than 48 hours a week.

The ruling came about because of an ongoing legal case in Spain involving a company called Tyco, which installs security systems.

Do you think India should pass such regulations too?
