A bag that carries the solution to all your problems

When you’re at Bacardi NH7 Weekender and surrounded by thousands of screaming and dancing fans, you will have your bag that will have all the things that might turn into your necessities.

    – A power bank because you need to prove to your friends what a maddening event it was and your phone won’t make videos or take pictures when it’s dead.

    – A jacket would be a really good idea because you don’t want to shiver at the concert unless you have trouble dancing but shivering isn’t really dancing.

    – A selfie stick, if you’re short, it’s a must for you. No offence.

    – Sunblock and facial tissues, because in Delhi you cannot trust the weather.

    – Carrying Odomos is what we’ll call smart thinking. Just an extra measure, the weight won’t kill you.

    – A few bandages with a pack of cotton and a small bottle of any antiseptic lotion like Dettol.

    – A pair of shades. That needs no reason.

    – A big bottle of water because you have to keep yourself hydrated and you can’t do that with alcohol. That’s sheer stupidity. Plus, you just can’t walk to the beverages counter every now and then to get yourself water.

    – Some extra money you should keep aside. You can hope that you don’t find the opportunity to use it but if at all there is need, you’ll be prepared.

    – Carrying some snacks is good too, like, energy bars, a pack or two of chips. You’re there for music and not food. But you’ve got to feed the hungry stomach.

  • This is how Skrillex had New Delhi on its toes last night!

This is how Skrillex had New Delhi on its toes last night!

Everybody craves for a great weekend, right from Friday morning to the end of the night on Sunday (and sometimes later than that too) knowing that Monday is going to give us hell. Well, the Indian capital got what it asked for, an insane end to the weekend with Skrillex in New Delhi! From the day Vh1 Supersonic announced that the dubstep sensation will be performing in India, for the first time, people had their Sunday plans cleared out. Soon enough, online tickets were sold out and so were at the venue. The concert was such a big success that it got a little hard for authorities to control the situation. So much so, that Nikhil Chinappa had to address the ‘dance family’ (the audience) to maintain decorum stating that Skrillex wouldn’t perform if they didn’t obey the rules.

Mija, who has been touring with Skrillex, played the opening set. What Mija had for us was love and great music that left us wanting more good vibes, and they came along  when Skrillex made his entrance. A good artist is the one who communicates with his fans and Skrillex didn’t hold back! The love he had for Delhi was given back to him by the fans in an overwhelming way. Skrillex’s maddening set started with ‘Where Are Ü Now’ from his music group, Jack Ü with Diplo. His set had New Delhi on its toes giving no time to anyone to stop from jumping or head-banging to the crazy tunes he threw at us. All in all, Skrillex’s concert is going to be one of the best from 2015 and as Supersonics’ Facebook post says that his India tour is going down in history. We hope to see Skrillex in New Delhi soon again, for we’ll never get enough of his music!

  • Problems every Delhiite faces on a normal day

Problems every Delhiite faces on a normal day

There’s no two ways about the fact that Delhiites are very proud of the city they live in. They have great malls to shop at and amazing places to eat at but like every other place in the world, Delhi comes with its own set of problems too. Don’t believe us? Take a look at these few problems every Delhiite faces on a normal day, well almost.

    #1) Traffic

Every Delhiite is aware of what’s coming their way when they leave their workplace or home. Delhi traffic has killed more plans than a sudden change in weather.

    #2 Pollution

That moment when you step out of your car and breathe in a fresh whiff of air only to realise that you are choking on an LIIT of various toxic gases in the air.

    #3 Parking

Delhiites loves their vehicles whether it’s a bike or a car. But, things get real when you realise that there is no place to leave them other than the reserved parking spot outside your house. And this problem starts before you start working, early on in the day paving way for the other problems that are waiting for you.

    #4 Driving

This is what Delhi is known for, its reckless way of driving.  To hell with the traffic lights and the brakes we have in our vehicles. Till the time you haven’t pissed someone off on the road, you haven’t done it right.

    #5 Basic etiquettes

Most Delhiites have forgetten the meaning of basic etiquettes like holding the door open for the person behind you, or letting pedestrians cross the road first. It’s more like quid pro quo here. People are too busy (sometimes scared) to help the needy.

    #6 Eve-teasing

Walk around with your female friend at the busiest, most chilled out places Delhi has to offer and chances are you will hear a voice singing a cheap song for her. That’s when you know, Delhi has welcomed you.

#7 Encountering the age old “Jaanta Hai Mera Baap Kaun Hai?” type of people

This breed of egoistic morons is very easy to find. Just bump up into someone’s vehicle and that’s it.

    #8 The Delhi Metro

We like people. Having them around is nice. But travelling in the Delhi Metro is an experience on its own. We take pride in the fact that Delhi has an amazing system for public transport but the pushing, the stepping on each other’s feet and not maintaining the right distance with your fellow passengers makes it slightly unpleasant.

    #9 Arguing with the Autowalas

If you think it’s easier for Delhiites to travel, sorry to break this to you, it isn’t true. Many people prefer auto over other means of transport but it’s not always easy to find a ride home that too at a reasonable price. One has to argue till they drop and at times, pay more than they are supposed to.
