    Best of Beauty at Amazon India Fashion Week A/W’ 15: Day 4

    Fourth day at the Amazon India Fashion week A/W’ 15 witnessed clean lines and androgynous looks by various designers like Sahil Kochhar, Pia Pauro, Bodice by Ruchika Sachdev, Péro by Aneeth Arora and Gaurav Gupta. Here is an insight to the best of beauty trends that ruled the ramp.

    Designers Nikhita, Pratima Pandey and Sahil Kochhar presented their outfits in various hues of black, nude and red complementing dramatic smokey eyes with nude lips. On the other hand Designers like Aneeth Arora and Gaurav Gupta opted for soft smokey eyes with a pop of baby pink along with soft, sculpted bronzed skin.

    The ‘barely-there’ make-up look dominated the collections of day four of the Amazon India Fashion Week with designers Viral, Ashish & Vikrant and Bodice by Ruchika Sachdeva opting for nude eyes, pink tinted lips and warm toned cheeks.

    Mixing modern cuts with playful textures designers Poonam Bhagat and Sonam Dubal added a dash of brilliant coral on the lips and silver hues on the eyes flattering their winter collection whereas designer Pia Pauro opted for a tint of pink on the lips and traced the water-line with white, highlighting the inner-corners of the eyes making the models look fresh and natural.

    On day four of the Amazon India Fashion Week, Designers Pratima Pandey, Sahil Kochhar and Nikhita opted for high puffs with ponytails complement their collections.

    Designer Pia Pauro’s collection ‘Riders on the storm’ went a step away from the usual where models were seen wearing African tribal feathery headgears which were an absolute treat to the eye. Designer Sonam Dubal went for colourful scarfs tied as turbands for her collection that consisted of a mix of reds, fuchsia and orange whereas designer label Virtues by  Viral, Ashish & Vikrant used braided hairband and accessories to complete their military inspired look.

    #3 Twists and buns

    Models looked stunning in Scottish caps and hair tied into twisted buns on the sides walking the ramp for designer Aneeth Arora. Neatly tied accessorised-buns were donned by models showcasing the collections of Designers Poonam Bhagat and Sonam Dubal.

    Bodice by Ruchika Sachdeva kept it simple staying true to its collection with half-scrunched hair to the back secured with a small hair tie. Whereas designer Gaurav Gupta chose long front flicks and high buns for the models showcasing his metallic  collection.

    Red lips were prominent throughout the first day of the Amazon India Fashion Week and they appeared yet again on the third day, but with a retro spin. Designers Anupama Dayal, Sanchita and Namrata Joshpuria made a statement with soft subtle kohl eyes keeping the focus only on the perfectly sculpted rusty red lips.

    #1 The best of reds

    Make-up artists brought sexy back with red. Bold and bright shades of scarlet, wine and berry red ruled the stage on day 1. From designer Anju Modi’s ‘How to write a fairytale’ to Kavita Bhartia and Rajesh Pratap Singh’s ‘The best medicine is laughter’, almost every show made a statement with well-defined lips, be it matte or glossy, adding a pop of colour to the pastel and neutral hues.

    #2 Glittering eyes

    On day 1, designer Anju Modi showcased shimmery white and aqua blue smoky eyes on her models. Other designers like JJ Valaya, Nikasha, Kavita Bhartia went for a neutral minimal look with a thin liner and a hint of mascara.

    Designer JJ Valaya had his models look sculpted with completely defined cheeks and intense blusher. Other designers like Payal Singhal, Nikasha, Rajesh Pratap Singh went for a sun-kissed natural contour with a dash of neutral blush.

They dazzled as showstoppers on the ramp, flaunting ensembles by some of India’s most renowned designers. The five-day event in Mumbai’s Palladium Hotel was brimming with silver and small screen allure as the crème de la crème of the industry walked the ramp for Manish Malhotra, Kunal Rawal and Yogesh Chaudhary amongst many others.

    Bollywood heartthrobs Shahid Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor looked strikingly hunky as they walked the ramp for designer Kunal Rawal.

    Designer Manish Malhotra unveiled his summer collection recently at the Lakme Fashion Week held in Mumbai. This was Malhotra’s first ever offsite show amongst all his associations with Lakme Fashion Week. It marked the launch of ‘WEvolve’ a global campaign and programme aimed at empowering young men and women to challenge norms that lead to gender violence.

    The designer’s latest collection showcased mirror work and floral embroidery while adding a 3D and textural effect to the elegant pieces. Stylish jewellery by Anmol Jewellers added the bling to the collection that was dominated by hues of blue with a bold touch of variations of yellow reflecting the assurance of a positive forthcoming.

    Hollywood actress Rosario Dawson joined the designer for opening the show along with Bollywood divas like Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandes, Shabana Azmi, Sridevi, Huma Qureshi, Neha Dhupia and Sophie Choudry were also present at the event looking gorgeous as ever.

    The clothing line included flowy gowns, jacket-saris, halter crop tops and skirts as an ode to the traditional lehenga. Since the show was about gender empowerment, the designer gave special attention to the men’s collection incorporating bandhgala jackets and long shirts tailored to perfection. This youthful collection by the designer celebrated the essence of positivity and change keeping in mind the younger generation which is the key agent to change.
