The third day of WIFW took heavy inspiration from festivities and India’s rich cultural roots.
Hair Accessories
Day 3 at WIFW kicked off with Chhaya Mehrotra presenting accessories like the Banarasi gamcha, jhumkas and jholas and Poonam Dubey taking hair and makeup inspiration from Goddess Durga with models walking down the ramp donning ‘Maatha Pattis’ and ‘KamarBandhs’. Anupama Dayal tied scarves into a turban-like look for her models whereas designer Masaba Gupta took inspiration from festive quirkiness in a very unique fashion by using ‘Parandis’ made out of firecrackers and Jasmine flowers.
Hair Styling
Ashish Soni added a feather in caps made out of braids and Rajesh Pratap Singh went for curly hair tied into messy buns. Nachiket Barve and Shivan and Narresh opted the fresh-out-of-the-water-look for their models.
Make-up
Rajesh Pratap Singh and Ashish Soni went for bare minimum makeup and subtle smokey eyes whereas designer Payal Singhal added a bright coral lip colour. Designer Masaba Gupta’s ‘Patakha’ inspired collection had models in minimal makeup with red lower lids.
