
Hard work does not always yield results, but these two kids have proved that there is no such thing as wasted effort. Raju and Brijesh Kumar Saroj, the two sons of a daily wager Dharamraj Saroj who works in a cloth mill factory in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh cracked the IIT-JEE.
Raju (18) and Brijesh (19) cleared the IIT Advanced examinations earlier this week. Raju secured 167th rank while his brother Brijesh stood 410th in the exam.
Brijesh Kumar was one of Anand Kumar’s Super 30 (the coaching institute) students. Their family faced many acute hardships, however, once at Super 30, he got the opportunity to concentrate on his studies without bothering about anything.
The news of their success spread quickly and before they knew it many famous faces & personalities came to congratulate and help them.
Human resource development minister Smriti Irani on Saturday waived the admission fees for the two brothers from Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh. “Informed family that registration fees will be waived off and will be eligible for scholarships that cover tuition, mess and other charges,” the minister posted on Twitter.
They have even gathered the admiration of Aamir Khan and Rahul Gandhi, among others. Anand Kumar, the teacher at super 30, feels it’s a great gesture that eminent personalities are taking so much interest in the success of students from underprivileged sections.
