Twitterati have found a new way to deal with demonetisation: by “demonetising” movie titles!

It has been almost a month since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that 500 and 1000 rupee notes would cease to be legal tender overnight. This demonetisation move, however, has garnered mixed reception. While several praised the PM for the bold move towards eradication of black money, several others felt that the planning and the execution behind this move were neither thorough nor organised. But the country has been united in the fact that waiting in line for at least 3-4 hours to access some cash has been a tiresome and unwanted hassle.

Twitterati, meanwhile, has found another way to deal with demonetisation. When user @PriyaSometimes posted a “demonetised” version of the movie title of the famous Leonardo DiCaprio movie Catch Me If You Can by changing it into “Cash me if you can” yesterday, it soon became the latest trend. People on Twitter then embarked on a hilarious journey of “demonetizing” movie titles. Check some of them out right here!
