The children of today grow up in a very different atmosphere, especially from the one that was there about a decade ago. The TV and the Internet provide a greater influence over children and they are, understandably, drawn like magnets towards these forms of entertainment. But what happened to those days when children used to run about outside, muddying themselves in the actual 3-dimensional world? Or when they invented games to entertain themselves? Their uncontrollable excitement at the prospect of meeting their friends for that hour of play in the afternoon is faint memory in most cases.
Keeping that childhood memory alive, Mumbai-based production house Chrome Pictures, beautifully directed a video for the premier mosquito repellent brand Good Knight on their campaign on Children’s play day. This short film reminds us of the good old days and emphasizes on an issue that needs attention of every parent around the world.
Directed by Sandeep Yadav, produced by Abhishek Notani and Mithun Chakraborty, the video has already garnered over 3.5 million views on Facebook with over 44,000 likes and 14,000 shares.
It is undoubtedly a beautiful piece of cinematography, combining the innocence and enthusiasm of childhood. It not only reminisces about the long lost days of playing outdoors, but also looks to a brighter future where children might once again join hands and play together, because every day is, after all, Children’s Play Day.
