April has a lot in store for all you movie junkies out there, from thriller to comedy to drama. Book your dates for Hollywood movies releasing this April that are set to entertain you while the temperatures soar.

 1) Furious 7 – 2nd April 

The much-awaited ‘Furious 7’ starring late Paul Walker is finally here. Picking up shortly after the events of ‘Fast & Furious 6’ (2013), the movie introduces a big new baddie where Deckard Shaw seeks revenge against Dominic Toretto and his family for the death of his brother. This can only end… well… furiously.

2) Get Hard – 3rd April

Hitting the screens on April 3rd is ‘Get Hard’, an American comedy directed by Etan Cohenis starring Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart, Alison Brie and Dan Bakkedahl. This movie revolves around a millionaire hedge fund manager James (Will Ferrell) who is pinned for fraud and sentenced for 30 days. Desperate, he reaches out to Darnell (Kevin Hart) to help him prepare for a life behind bars.

3) The Longest Ride – 10th April

Based on the best-selling novel by Nicholas Sparks, ‘The Longest Ride’ is a story about the love affair between a former champion bull rider and a college student who is about to start her dream job in New York City. The movie features Jack Huston, Lolita Davidovich, Britt Robertson and Scott Eastwood in lead roles.

4) Home – 10th April

Releasing on the same day is ‘Home’, an American 3D animated film, produced by DreamWorks Animation. It features star voice-overs by Jim Parsons, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, and Steve Martin. The film focusses on Tip and Oh’s journey together as they try to save the human race.

5) Child 44 – 17th April

‘Child 44’ is a thriller based on Tom Rob Smith’s novel ‘Child 44’ (2008). This movie is set during Stalin’s Soviet Union rule and revolves around the investigation of a child serial killer. The film stars Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Noomi Rapace, Joel Kinnaman, Paddy Considine, Jason Clarke, and Vincent Cassel.

6) Monkey Kingdom – 17th April

‘Monkey Kingdom’ is a documentary by Mark Linfield presented by Disney nature, showcasing the struggle of a newborn monkey and its mother. They struggle to survive a dynamic group of monkeys who live in ancient ruins found deep in the jungles of South Asia.

7) The Avengers: Age of Ultron – 24th April

For all the Marvel fans out there, the biggest superhero movie of all time is back with its newest sequel ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’. Written and directed by Joss Whedon, this film is sure to be a block-buster with big names on the cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Don Cheadle.
