Just like every month, Bollywood is bringing us movies that will have the theatres flooded with fans. This August, we didn’t really have many to pick from, but the ones we selected will most probably make you have a good time with your friends and family.
Long awaited movies like Mohenjo Daro and Rustom are finally just a few days away from hitting the screens and their trailers have already spoken for themselves. But that’s not it, there’s more in store than you can guess. We will finally see Diana Penty in her second movie, that part alone is enough for her fans to lure to the screens.

#1 Budhia Singh – 5th August
Budhia Singh is a biopic based on a 4-year-old kid of the same name who ran from Bhubaneswar to Puri covering 65 kilometres in seven hours and two minutes which landed his name in the books of Limca Book of Records as the youngest marathon runner. At the age of 5, he had participated in 48 marathons. The movie stars Manoj Bajpayee. Runtime: N/A
#2 Rustom – 12th August
Based on the life of a naval officer, Rustom Pavri which questions him as a Patriot, a Traitor, a Murderer or all of the above? Rustom must keep his head up and fight for himself. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Ileana D’cruz, Esha Gupta and more. Runtime: 150 minutes
#3 The Legend of Michael Mishra – 5th August
Michael Mishra is a kidnapping specialist who falls head over heels for an actress. The twist come when she is ready to accept him but only if he changes his ways and turns into a good man. The movie shows how Mishra tried to change for good in the most hilarious way possible. Starring Arshad Warsi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Boman Irani and his son Kayoze Irani. Runtime: N/A
#4 Mohenjo Daro – 12th August
Based in the pre-historic times, Sarman (Hrithik Roshan), a farmer travels to the city where his path crosses with Chaani, the daughter of a Priest, who, according to a prediction will be the origin of a new society. The movie follows the love story of Sarman, Chaani and secrets that nobody has ever known. Runtime: 150 minutes.
#5 Happy Bhag Jayegi – 19 th August
Happy (Diana Penty) decides to run away from her wedding at the last moment and somehow ends up in Pakistan. Now, there are two countries chasing her while she tries to figure things out. The movie also stars Abhay Deol, Jimmy Shergill and Ali Fazal. Runtime: N/A
#6 A Flying Jatt – 25th August
A Flying Jatt (Tiger Shroff) is the story of a young man blessed with superpowers but at the same time he has a phobia of heights. He is trying to help the world be a better place but his real problems arise when Raka, his really powerful enemy is on to destroy the world. It also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Amrtita Singh.
