As Barack Obama leaves office as the President of the United States of America, we have to prepare to bid goodbye to one of the greatest and coolest Presidents the world has seen. And we’re not ready at all. And he’s not one of the coolest Presidents; he is the coolest President ever. Over his 8 years in office, Obama showed us that the office of the President needn’t always be as somber as it is made out to be. Of course, he was lucky that several platforms of social media gained immense popularity around that time and he had access to a different form of communication, the best part of which was that he did not shy away from it at all! But that’s not all. President Barack Obama’s biggest weapon was his wit. Let’s not delay any more and have a look at why Obama is the coolest President ever!
#11 His selfie game is right on track!
Obama’s selfies may not be such a big thing now, but there was this one selfie which was definitely newsworthy. Obama, the then British Prime Minister David Cameron, and Denmark’s PM Helle Thorning Schmidt, posed for a selfie together. Yeah. You can see it right here.

#10 No mincing words
Once when he was getting ready for an interview, the infamous incident when Kanye West ruined Taylor Swift’s award moment came up, and the President didn’t hold back from saying what he actually felt about that. Hitting the nail right on the head, he called Kanye West a ‘jackass’.
#9 Slow jam is his jam
With US talk show host Jimmy Fallon, Obama slow jammed the news. Yes, that’s right. He appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s show and slow jammed about how during his time, unemployment rates had gone down. Watch it right here!
#8 Twitter wars
Obama used social media to the fullest. In fact, at one point he held the record for most number of retweets, until he was overtaken by Ellen. And he had a few words to say about that. Obama stated clearly that Ellen cheated by having a number of Hollywood celebrities in her photo!
#7 Happy and healthy
When his healthcare plan was activated, he promoted it extensively. He even made a video about it.
That’s not all though. He appeared on Zach Galifianakis’ show Between Two Ferns to talk about it. Did you ever think Obama and Zach would be in conversation? It’s true!

#6 Angry President
During the White House Correspondents Dinner, Obama goes all out. We know that. Remember the time he brought an anger translator? Yeah, President Obama had comedian Keegan Michael-Key join him onstage as his anger translator. Everyone loved it.
#5 No weeds to hide behind
Unlike most politicians, who usually refrain from admitting whether or not they had done drugs at some point, Obama was brave. Very brave. He stated clearly that yes, he had inhaled…and “that was the point”. He couldn’t be more right!
#4 SuperObama
You’d think the President of the United States of America didn’t have the time for superheroes. You’re wrong. He does and it’s great. Why shouldn’t he know about the loyal and lovable vigilantes who protect the earth from strange dangers? In fact, maybe he is one of them. Like when he said that they were building an Iron Man suit for him. Maybe they are.
#3 A day in his life
Ever wondered what it is like to be the POTUS? We all have at some point. Lucky for us, Obama talked about a normal day in his life with Jimmy Kimmel. Even answered some personal questions!
#2 He’s very very funny
Do you remember the time Obama was in an SNL sketch? Hillary Clinton (played by Amy Poehler) was hosting a Halloween party, and Obama came dressed as himself! Everyone loved it.
And then there was that time when he hijacked Stephen Colbert’s show and took Stephen’s place as a comedian. He nailed it!
#1 The legendary mic drop
Everyone remembers this. He ended his last White House Correspondents Dinner with a mic drop. And it was legendary!
